Member Journals

Changes
-Journals will be available to premium members only
This won't be retroactive, so people with journals now, won't loose them, but in the future, if you want a journal, you need to be a premium member.

Clarifications
- Journals are NOT personal forums. They are meant for an online journal of you day in day out events or thoughts (emotions/feelings) This is oftentimes nebulous, but sometimes it is clear cut. Things like movie/song reviews, conversations with members, etc should be taken to the appropraite general use forum, not journals.

-ALL DA.com Rules Apply to Journals
This includes swearing, content, post whoring, or otherwise things that are against our rules or cause server related problems.

-DA Reserves the Right to Remove Journals
We will try to be friendly and give a warning or two, but if someone consistently uses a journal as a 'personal area' and not as a 'journal' it will be removed.

-Things like poetry, songs, stories may be posted in journals, but again, the focus should be on a diary/journal and not on the forum as a 'personal space.' There are many forums on DA which may better suit the needs of specific posts and in an effort to grow those forums (like hobbies, personal health, arts and entertainment) posts not relating directly to you, should not go into your journal.

- Inactive journals will be removed.
If you have not posted in your journal for about a month and a half, we will PM you to remind you, and if you then ask us to remove it or do not respond, we will remove it. If for some reason you're taking a hiatus/vacation, but will be back, we will understand.

Premium Memberships
DiscussAnything offers a premium membership. This is a membership that provides certain features (such as file attachment) for a moderate cost. For more information on premium memberships, follow this link: http://www.discussanything.com/forums/member.php?action=premium

We will be increasing the minimum donation for the memberships and we are going to be removing the monthly service as that is a bit too difficult to track.

if you meet the requirements, then:

Please post here if you'd like a DA.com Member Journal.

Provide the Following Information.

1) Forum Name
This is what you want the 'title' of your journal to be. Try to keep it short, and keep your username as the first word, so it's easier for people to find.

2) Forum Description
This is the description for your journal. Once again, try to keep it fairly compact

*One of the two above must contain your user name.
**If you do not provide these we will assign a default name and description (unless us admins think of something funny)

State that you agree to the Terms of Use
The terms of Use can be found here (http://www.discussanything.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3155).

Once your request has been processed, your request-post will be deleted
This keeps this thread short and simple. If you want anything changed later (title, description, removal etc), feel free to post again. If you think it takes too long for your journal to be created, feel free to PM (http://www.discussanything.com/forums/private.php?s=&action=newmessage&userid=33) me and complain :)

ok, so seeing as we do not have our old journals, or should I say new journals, you know what I mean, since the upgrade and all. does this offer still stand?

If so, I want one titled "Elmo's flower snorting adventure through the killing fields" :D
