Do you ever want to kill every person you see behind the wheel of an SUV? Especially the soccer moms and the teenagers? It really pisses me off when someone buys a large inefficient utility vehicle and then doesn't use it!

It is like when you see the guy driving his ferrari 20 mph under the limit all the time. What a waste.

AT LEAST THAT GUY DOES NOT DRIVE LIKE A MANIAC.

What is about SUVs that make peolpe go absolutely insane?

I personally believe that many people who drive SUVs suffer from SPS -- Small Penis Syndrome. Even the women.

damn, i was JUST about to start a thread about this EXACT same topic.

i've said it over and over again: IF YOU CAN'T DRIVE AN SUV, DON'T BUY ONE!!! i've seen too many times stupid people behind the wheel of a monster vehicle driving like 55 in the fast lane, or going super-slow to park- or even TRYING to park their stupid crap vehicle!!! i've seen SUVs pull in, back up, pull in, back up,and then finally just leave a parking space open because they didn't know how to get it between the white lines!!

i can understand if they NEED it like to haul junk around for work or whatnot, but if they're getting it because it looks nice, or it's the new BMW suv, or because it looks "sporty", then christ!! at least drive it right!!! SUVs are meant to be tough rugged vehicles, but for some reason SUV drivers always- ALWAYS go like 10 over dips or speedbumps. damn, if *I* had one of those i'd be going like 50!! that's what that crap is MADE for!!!or else they think they dominate the road so they tailgate you for a mile until they suddenly realize it might be easier to just switch lanes.

PEOPLE!!! IF YOU CAN'T DRIVE AN SUV, DON'T BUY ONE!!! save us all some madness!!!

My favorites are the ones who speed everywher, bounce off curbs, then CRAWL over railroad tracks that are smooth enough that I don't have to slow down in my Mustang! My favorites are the lowered SUVs. HELLO, WTF is that about?

Yeah well tough shit folks. Middle finger is displayed.

I own one and its good for many purposes. Taking trips, hauling kids, 4 wheeling, hauling stuff and many many other things.

It also serves as protection for my wife from all the freakin IDIOT drivers (in their CARS) out there who race, run red lights, cut off, pull out in front of, and a whole array of other things. I'd rather be in an accident in my Bronco than my Mustang.

This is America and Ill damn well drive what I want to drive wheather or not you and Algore dont like it.

You forgot rolling over, blocking visibility, crowding other vehicles, polluting the air...

For women, Freud called the condition "penis envy" which is supposedly similar to what he called men's "castration anxiety."

I guess Freud had transexual inclinations.

Having driven in an SUV, I don't really like them. Even a regular car feels too loose. I prefer a tight, grinding ride rather than a sloppy, bouncy ride. I figured I would keep the sex theme going. ;)

Bill, maybe install a roll cage in the stang.

Ive been driving SUV's for 18 years and havent managed to roll one. Strike one.

Crowding? Not much bigger than a caddy or lincoln. Strike two.

Polluting? 5.0 liter engine, I'd be willing to bet there are a lot more mustangs, with or without bigger engines, that pollute a hellofa lot more than my bronco. Strike three, yer out!

OK. You still block visibility. "Not much bigger" is still bigger so you still crowd other vehicles, especially in certain areas of town with narrow lanes and construction zones. You're fuel efficiency sucks. ANd of course, SUVs are UGLY AS SIN!!!

For once, I agree with Powerboss! :)

I flip off all the SUV haters. While, I CANNOT stand the women with no attention span due to children or cell phones, I also can't stand the prick tailgating me.

I own an '01 Explorer - last of the 5.0s... if I drove around in a damn car, for one, I couldn't fit large parts into it, I picked up a 4.6 mod motor from the junk yard once, I don't think that would fit in a Honda. Not to mention, I am renovating my home and I would be lost w/o my SUV.

I don't crowd vehicles, I know how to drive, thank you! I have never flipped over, again, I know how to handle myself at the wheel. I don't drive like a maniac, I don't go 90 in my SUV. :p

So aim your griping towards the appropriate offenders... soccer Moms mostly :D

Cristina-

Wow, no sleep makes me fiesty!

buggy,

You have to know where I'm coming from here. Downtown Houston in a car, those narrow ass lanes and the prick in the SUV next to you who doesn't even know(or care) that you're beside him. The other day I had a stupid bitch in a Trooper back into me AND NEVER EVEN NOTICED!!! Nevermind, time for a new thread.

LOL. Yes, I understand where you're coming from. Not to mention, downtown is a friggin' MESS!

Yeah, people in SUV's are ALMOST as annoying as some dickless-wonder in a sub-compact zipping around, in and out of traffic, cutting people off having NO regard for the other people on the road.

Have a '78 Bronco 4X4, with a 3" suspension lift and 33" tires that I'd PAY to see you roll it over in normal or off-road driving. AIN"T GONNA HAPPEN!!!! Friend of mine has a '79 Bronco 4X4 with 3" suspension and 9" body lift, 44" tires. That one ain't going anywhere either. Both are driven on the road daily.

What iritates me is whiny ass people who piss and moan about the auto industry needing to make safer vehicles. When they DID make safer vehicles, people are STILL pissong and moaning. You don't like SUV's, tough shit. Get over it already. You bough the car you wanted. They bought the car they wanted. Just because they aren't USING an SUV the way YOU thnk they should, doesn't make you right and them wrong.

Middle finger extended in unison with Bill and Cristina....

People will always piss and moan and whine... they would probably lose meaning to their existence if they did not whine.

The vehicle isn't the problem, it's the ******* behind the wheel.

I've gotta agree with the Pro-SUV people here... It's some of the drivers out there that are the problem, not the SUVs themselves.

Nothing wrong with a Suburban in and of itself, it's the braindead soccer mom behind the wheel who suddenly has a god complex while driving. That kind of driver doesn't need to be on the road period. Gripes about people needing to be able to control the blasted things are certainly legit though.

That gets into lax driver's license requirements more than anything though:(

Just my .02, even tho I agree with shadow and the others, I do believe its not as black and white. The car you drive influences you as the driver as well. When I'm in my Mini, I drive like I was on a go-kart circuit. When I drive my dads car (suzuki swift) I drive very normal coz the cars shit and boring. When I get to drive my managers estate, I adapt my driving style once again. I think that trucks and SUVs just make ppl have this 'high and mighty' feeling, and makes em adapt their driving style to it. So its not just the car, its not just the driver, its a combination of the two.

We, the SUV drivers, are special people and own the road. Please don't make us force you to make way for us. Be courteous enough to do it on your own. :)

Ummm, we have 5 kids and an RV, what else should we drive? And don't say minivan, we need horse power, (like my 300 hp Expedition) to pull the RV.

well, if you're talking pollution... mowing the yard for an hour puts out more pollution than a vehicle on a roadtrip for 8 hours.... i think you should go after the people who are attacking the grass...
