The shelter could certainly use your money. I happened to have visited the shelter today. It was so sad to see so many unwanted animals. They were all so beautiful. I only wish I could have taken them all home.:(

Criminal, tell me about ferret raising and how well they get along with cats.
If it's feasible and they can find a way to get it to me, I'll take one, if not I'll do the liberal thing and cut them a check with a donation in your honor.
:)

i would love ferrets if they didnt smell so horrible.
i had one when i was younger.. it squeezed thru the grating of an electric fan. while it was running
that was neat!

I dont know for sure. I think that if you raise ferrets and cats together you need to be careful and make sure they get along. Ferrets should be kept in a cage and let out at least 2 hours daily. When they are out they should be watched carefully. Ferrets do have protective instincts and can defend themselves but its always best to watch them.
I do know the people at the shelter and they are really decent selfless people who love ferrets. They will gladly accept any donation and I am sure it will go to good use.

RWZ: Ferrets do not smell bad if properly cared for.
