Just wondering if Michail King is MLKs real name, thats all.

Yes. The story is that when he was young, age 5 or so I think, his father was visiting somewhere and decided that he admired Martin Luther, the preacher who was at the head of the Protestant split from the Catholic church, and thus decided his name would be Martin Luther King Sr and his son would be named Martin Luther King Jr.

Actually it was/is Michael King.

Michael King's name was changed at age 5 to Martin Luther King, Jr. along with his father to Martin Luther King, Sr. I don't believe this change was ever made in the courts, though.

Actually - and I only know that this is true in California, so it may not apply to King - one legal method for name change is the so caslled "Usage" method. That is, you start calling yourself the new name, everyone else calls you the new name, and the new name is yours. While I believe that there were many deplorable things King did in his life, "name fraud" doesn't look like one of them.
