Time for me to start working for a living, and wasting hours on the internet. I think I'll run this thread to see how I'm keeping on track with my workload.

I also think I'm not going to be around much, certainly not as much.

Work. Buy. Consume. Die.

Unfortunately, I seem to be doing a lot of the first and very little of the second two. Oh, well. What demon whispered "accounting" into my ear all those years ago?

Got a lot to do today. Very little time to drivel. Curses and foul language.

I have just about had it with Herr Goebbels and his goddamn diaries. I wish the SOB had offed himself before he had a chance to vomit out his 1945 journals. But, I started the task and I shall try to finish it. Fortunately, the close to unedited 1945 journals have very little of interest for debate purposes. In fact, they're close to being a shaggy dog story told by a nine year old...where one wonders when the punchline will sneak in.

Not sure when I'll get my hands on the 1939-41 journals. IIRC, that's where he keys off on Poles, Czechs, etc. At this point I'm in no rush.

Goddamn clubfooted runt.

LOL, thoug,

I'm missing the 39-41 diaries as well, but considering I bought the other two at a used book shop for a paltry $4 Cdn each, I've no right to complain.

If I recall correctly, you're an accountant of some sort? That would seem to coincide with a busy workload at this time of the year, especially if Americans do their 'year-ends' at the same time we do.

Indeed, I am an accountant, and, yes, now through April 15th is my busy season. However, I am also a slacker. That's why I set up this journal to whine. I'm busy, but I must also admit its not really overwhelming. At least, it wouldn't be, if I applied myself. ;)

Actually, given our clientele, I am actually only busy through about April 1 or so. Either they're done by then, or they're on extension. Rich people are like that.

Gaah. What a lousy week I'm having. It appears they actually expect me to work for a living! Outrageous.

I can hardly wait until I get to be human again.

This year has been particularly rough, and I'm not even working overwhelming hours. I feel sick. Sore throat, upset stomach, massive congestion. Frigging 2 feet of snow on the ground don't really help my mood, either.

Blecch.
