View Full Version : What is it with this new BBW craze?

I don't know if this belongs here, but...

Where did this obsession come from?

There are two extremes. You have Margaret Cho that was told she was fat by her producers, which made her feel like total shit because she felt 'cute' and secure with herself. She's just chubby, she doesn't look gross. This is the first extreme. The 12 year old boy syndrome.

The second one, is the BBWs! I don't get it. Maybe I'm just extremely mean or something but I think it's awfully gross.

*shrug* Any insights?

I worked at my last job with two guys that were married to Catman-esque women. The guys were pretty well off, were in "the" frats in college, and were nice looking . . . but they both married heavy women (heavy when they got married, even). I just didn't understand. It wasn't their "style", you know?

But, I spoke with a friend of theirs that clued me in. Both of those guys were roommates in college, and their friend dropped by one morning after his car broke down. They let him use a phone, and, while calling, he found some BBW porn in a drawer. He THOUGHT it was a joke . . . till he found more later. As it turns out, BOTH of those guys liked BBW's . . . but felt the social pressure to date "normal" women.

Towards the end of school, they both started dating their future wives, and, from what I heard, caught some hell over it. That's sad, you know?

The thing is that probably more men than you know like heavier women, but are afraid SOCIALLY to admit it.

As for me . . . eh, to each his own. I'll keep my 105 pound pocket rocket!

Well, I don't like "obese" women, but full figured women....yea, I like them better then alot of real skinny women I see. I mean I won't only date full figured women....but all else the same (personality, and character), physically I would probably pick the heavier of the two women....

Yes, that is understood. Full figured women look lovely. But I mean... large, obese women.

BBW is like, 250+ pounds.

Disclaimer, I am in no way skinny. So, I am not just being mean to people. I am 'full figured'.

BBW refers to any woman who is "Full Figured" and more voluptuous than your "average" woman.... Not really just 250+

Wedge

Really? I grabbed that number a while back from a BBW website. Full figured and voluptuous, IMO, are women like Sophie Dahl.

Hmm, this woman is 'full figured' -

Being a slightly over weight person, I find OBESE people unattractive. By OBESE, I mean Jerry Springer women where you can't tell where their boobs end and stomachs begin and you can't see the front of there underwear because their fat just hangs over. I understand that some people, due to genes or whatever, will be bigger but that is out of control. I don't understand the obsession simply because how can you have sex with something that big...you would drowned in fat!

Okay, I've read the entire thread, and I still can't seem to figure out what BBW stands for. ...But I think my sister may be one. She's 6'1", and she, at one point, topped 350. Even got a live-in boyfriend like that. Now she's dropping that weight like a ton of bricks made of ugly yellow fat, and her boyfriend's getting more willful. I mean, at this rate, she'll actually have a shape in a few months...and he doesn't seem to like that one bit. ****in' nutty.

I just hate the way fat people have STOLEN the terms full figured and voluptuous. Marilyn Monroe waf voloptuous. Jayne Mansfield was voluptious. That chick from the Practice (can't ever remember her name) is FAT!! Why do people beat around the bush to try and make themselves feel better. If they want to feel better about themselves, why don't they just lose weight and leave the language alone? Oh yeah, because that requires EFFORT!!

all I have to say is.. I haven't dated any "fat" girls, but some of my dates are average or a little meat on their bones.. and oddly enough the "biggest" if you will girl I have been with was the best in bed.. probably chalked up to experience.. ;)

The chick from THE PRACTICE's name is Camryn Manheim. She is overweight but loves her body and has come to terms that not everyone has to be skinny and anorexic looking!

When I graduated college I was 6'2" and 135. Quitting smoking & taking a desk-job got me up to 160, and I generally hover around 165 now.

Jwreck is right, the terms "voluptuous" and "full-figured" have been twisted into something else. I love a woman with some meat on her bones, not to mention a good set of ta-ta's, but the old standard does and always will apply:

NO FAT CHICKS

rule of thumb- The man should be able to carry the woman. That means the women get a strong enough man, and a man get a skinney enough woman.;)

I preferr women around my size or smaller, thats my instinct.

I actually read an articles on her struggles when trying to lose weight. It was pretty dramatic. I wonder if this has anything to do with her genes, or something... thyroid?

Or maybe as Margaret Cho said, "For me, losing 10 pounds is a full time job."

Most chicks I dated have been heavy but its only because I am not too good looking myself so I never had much choice. Really though there are advantages to dating a larger woman. First of all they never complain about your weight and you dont have to be self consious when you are eating. Also they really do appreciate it when you show them some attention.

My ex wife was very thin and very good looking and she always complained about the way I looked. I would buy her flowers and she barely paid attention. I took to dinner and she would give me dirty looks when I ate too much.

Wedge

yes there are advantages to dating "larger" girls.. but the worst girls in the world are the two-ton hippos that think they look all good.. that is sick.. I am sorry.. I find it completely unattractive when I a girl thinks she looks better than she really does..

your best bet is to find a girl that use to be fat, that way she looks good, and she will probably be more interested in how well you treat her..

I have to say the wildest sex I ever had was with a "bigger" girl. Kinda like she was just so happy to be having sex that she was up for anything.

I think full figure women are the most attrive women. No a days girls seem to getting thinner and thinner till they are skin and bones and that not healthy or good looking.

I know what you are saying. I cant stand really skinny broads, you know, these chicks who are all shriveled up like they are on heroine. I dont care for those who are too fat but I think a woman should have some meat on their bones.

Nah, he just runs his mouth. It's like that saying: "An infinite number of monkeys at an infinite number of typewriters will eventually write the great American novel." Durden's just yammerring on, and once in awhile something that seems really insightful comes out. But don't be fooled, he'll still throw his feces at you if you make him mad.

Very astute observation. And I appreciate everything you say . . . I was running out of crap to throw. :D

Sometimes though, you don't type fast enough, so I was wondering if I could just put something like I tap in the back of your head so I could get the bull**** out faster . . .
