Any of you have family members being sent to war?
What do you think about it?
Please be nice, because some of us are worried and don't need slurs thrown at our loved ones. Thanks,Who

I've got a few buddies that I work with being shipped out sometime after the first of the year. They don't know where they're going, but I think we can pretty much guess.

Some say we shouldn't go to war and some say we should, and it is really hard to say we should when it's our family or close freinds involved, but I really am 'selfish' and even though I think we will fight now or fight later, and if later a stronger enemy, I still had hoped for later.

You are NOT supposed to get Smallpox shots if you've ever had Eczema. Better look into that.

I have at least one friend going over there.

I hope people think oil is worth it..

I myself have read some very convincing articles on the " oil" invlovement, and like to think I hae common sense and open mind, but theres so many things we don't know, and I do know that the muslems do want to rule the world, and are a danger to everyone else who's not muslem...so this is why I feel that oil isn't the only reason.
If we leave the erurasians to themself long enough they will take over, and build a force no one can come against, if they haven't already!
We are a very small nation, and if the others come together against us , we will be under Muslem rule.
They are infiltrating every county on this earth and the fools[IMO] helping them and crying for "THEIR EQUAL RIGHTS" will find this out too late.
This is only the way I see it, an I could be wrong.
I will try to talk son into arguring with tis branch of service, and tell him if he refuses shot, andgets into trouble, THERE WON'T BE A CONGRESSMAN'S OFFICE IN AMERICA, SAFE FROM MY VISITS OF PROTEST....[ PEACEFULL OF COURSE ].
Thanks for reply about shots, and any others info on this will be helpfull. Who

Thank you for your previous service, and you did your time, so hope you don't feel too guilty.
Thats what my son say's , is that if it's not him to go, than it will be someone in his place, so I guess this is how conrads think about it. Who

I personally would much rather be there myself than have some kid fresh out of high scholl over there without enough training or experience. I would just rather me be there than someone else in my place like your son was saying. Survivors guilt really is a wierd thing i think...

I have friends and relatives either already there, or on their way...

I too would rather go, for one of the reasons that Shelter mentioned. I have YEARS of experience and firsthand knowledge, and think it would go a long way toward others coming home in one piece.

Plus, it's the only thing I've ever been really good at.

I don't beleive this, I bet your good at lots of things and one is loyalty, and that is very good. You and Shelter both need to give yourself a break. It's not your time now, it's theirs who are still in. Who

I had te anthrax vaccine with no problems but know nothing about having it with his problems. He should mention it to the doctor before the nurse gives him the injection just to be sure. If it is harmful he will be excluded from it no problem.

I sure hope they give him a checkup first, but all branch's of service are in a scramble to get ready, so I do wonder.
Only one doctor has said it looked like exzema a few years ago and his sister has exzema, but it is some form of dermatitis if not exzema.
He was suppose to call me last night ,so guess they are too busy.
I feel alot better after hearing on news Bush signed a snactin against N.Korea, and longer talking war at this time.
I think Sadam Hussien will end up giving up his leradership right before we start to invade, or at least I hope so.
I was in the mind set that we need to mind our own bussiness, but now I am thinking that we can no longer let the Middle East get too built up,and we do need to keep our allie's and stength in that regian.

I know they appreciate all our prayers, and maybe this won't be war at all, but I sure do worry for us all.
I read on wnd tonight that Brittain has a national force to keep it's citizens from leaving the cities if a chem or germ thing happens.I know we probly do too. I told my city slicker daughters who live a couple hundred miles away to stock up on food, just in case.
This is so bad to even think like this. Who

Well preventing people from leaving a city in event of a bio or chem attack, while hard for some to understand id the best thing to do. Peole leaving only risk spreading problems to much larger areas with them being alredy contaminated. I too pray for everyone putting their lives on the line.

Who-
Just so you know, medics will check his med records before giving him the shots especially if he tells them he has had exzema.

Lets just remember that while we are upset about sending our friends and children into a fight, that we NEED a strong military that is willing to fight. While we might not agree with all of the reasons for going into Iraq, we need to remember that they have openly supported terrorism against americans. If we want to prevent another 9/11 we need to take decisive action and show the terrorists that we won't stand for it.

No, Afganistan wasn't enough. Many of my friends and co-workers just got back from Kuwait and will be returning most likely. I will tell you that they are ready, willing, and able to do what needs to be done, as long as they (the politicians) leave em alone long enough to get the job done.

But that is just my feeling. -Jay

No jokes about the pantyhose, it keeps the sand out of weapons, engines, etc...

I am definatly going to be writing letters. I am interested in starting a letter drive here in my town so people can write letters of thanks and well wishes and such and I can collect them and send them to units or something. I hope I can do something to help em out over there and if that would help I am all over it.

I just pray that Bush will give up on his quest to 'finish the job his father started'.

Every indication from the UN says that Hussein has cooperated ...

Every indication from the Bush Regime says we are going anyway ...

Bush should'v kept his mouth shut about Korea,"anxis of evil".Also to tell the people of the country, "he tried to kill my daddy", and then ask them to go to war or send their kids, spouse's, to me is a dumb mistake.Even if this is what your after,[besides oher reasons] you don't go tell it. He is so wapped up in himself, I guess he thinks everyone is.I am very upset and have no one to talk to but yall.I have to play the anythng for my country thing when I talk to son, but I wish I knew more of what going on.

Who, just checking in with you and to thank you for checking in with us. I just found your thread or I would have stopped in sooner.

Glad you have heard from your son. Remember you have the support of another mom if you need it. My son wants to enlist when he turns 18 next year, so I do understand how you feel.

Who, the I don't completely understand the ins and outs of our foreign policies, but I do understand worrying about your child.

My best to Mr. Who and your wholets, and my prayers with your son who is overseas.

Thanks my favorite leftist freind.I hope your son really thinks about it before he joins. I really got mad when mine did, and when he ask for blessing I said ,'no way'! Then he said he wasn't asking for permission, just blessing, haha. I guess he gets it after all.
Mr. Who says hello, and thanks for prayers. We write to son everyday so far.
My son went to boot camp at 29 years old, and he said it was hard.He went up noth and in dead of winter, and he broke out and his skin split open on hands, lips, knees. He was oldest in boot camp, so he got all kinds of leardership positions, but said he felt like hurting those,'kids' when he had to do more pushups or runs in freezing weather when they acted up.
He also wrote me and said he just made biggest mistake of his life, but of course that all changed after boot camp, and he was proud of accomplishments.
Anyone thinking of joining , better get in good shape before boot camp, makes it easier I hear. Who

Well, its official. My unit has been selected to go 'over there'.

We are leaving sometime soon. We aren't even sure when, exactly. but we expect to be gone for at least six months (and maybe a year or more).

I'm really gonna miss DA when I'm gone.

Gonna miss Spab, who, Manu, Shelter, Beatlebabe, Pissy Princess, Right Wing Zealot, and bunch of others ...

Heck, I probably even miss FaDe.

He and I disagree on a lot of things, but he's never boring.

Unlike most of the goobers I work with; they are sooooooooooo boring. All they ever talk about is the 'bitches' and 'ho's' they tried to 'get wit' at the club last night. So shallow, repetitous and dull.

My nephew called me today. He reports for a two week special training period then he goes. We havealready talked about it. He does not like the idea of slaughtering arabs for oil and jews.

My nephew is just a grunt but he is one of two that I claim as nephews and he means a lot to me. Our Gulf Slaughter Vets got poisoned by something, and our political parasites and military hacks denied it for nearly a decade. It was only a few months agop that the Navy finally admitted to doing biological tests on us when I was in. They ran 17 tests on us and will only release information on one.

Arabs are the oly people with the guts to oppose the One World Plantation that Bush/Clinton/Bush envision for us. My nephew is being sent to kill the only people who have the guts to oppose the global elite.

Bush refuses to secure our borders, but he damn sure will be certain that the "New World Order" is unopposed. His motto is death to anyone who wants a border. We did a fine job in Afghanistan, opening it up to pornographers, homosexuals, and child molestors. Another job well done. The global elite cannot stand any sign of morality.

I told my nephew to kill anything that might threaten him. "Watch for kids. They can be fanatical when defending their home and families. Come back alive. Just pray that your own people do not kill or poison you."

Another slaughter for oil(Bush and friends) and the jews.

If my nephew had a higher IQ I would tell him to quit and go to Canada. The upcoming massacre of arabs is wrong. I cringe to thing that the Power Elite should impose something as corrupt upon my grandson. I am coming to hate man's government.

THE SLAUGHTER WILL ONLY LAST A COUPLE WEEKS! Don't be pretentious and dishonest and call it a war. There is no glory in a slaughter. Bush is pure evil. Shame on me for voting.

Morph, I sure can understand your bitterness for this government of ours. And maybethey are out to rule the world, I know Bush Sr. said he wanted a new world order.
But is there any country on this earth that wouldn't react in the same way? If some had there way about we would be on our knees praying to mohamand several times a day or getting our heads chopped off, not to speak of no woman with a clitoris intact.
And communist countrys are just as capitalist as we are, if you consider some live like kings in luxuary, while most suffer. I have no idea what really goes on ,but I do have to support our men in uniform, and sinse they have no choce about war or maybe have been decieved, they still need to beleive they are doing the right thing for their country. I say protest the weapons of mass destruction all over this world, not the soldiers. If we do this, we will actually be protesting all wars.
I am so worried about my son, who is overthere, and about the shots he has got. But I can't say this to him, since it's a done deal now for him.
I hope we find a way to avoid this war, but hope is waning. Who

I'm worried, too. My nephew means nothing to those in charge. The government will deny it if he gets sick from the war, and the VA won't treat him. Ask the Gulf vets. It is not about weapons of mass destruction. It is about a people who will not submit to The New World Order.

What choice do we have but to support the ones we love? It just makes me hate Israel, our global elite, and oil people.
