You may have noticed a lot of Sony products on here - thats cuz i work for sony. J/k, but sony does know how to package these suckers. Personal video recorder, dvd burner, connects with the mp3 players, comes with sick speakers. Hot damn.

By combining PC functionality with MiniDisc audio system and Personal Video Recorder capabilities, the VAIO MXS10 computer
serves as the ultimate home audio and video server. You can build your own music and video library and take them with you or share
with family and friends in any way you want. Jam out to your favorite tunes with the built-in FM Stereo tuner and high-quality 2-way
speakers.

Take your tunes with you by recording them to MiniDisc using Net MD, which supports MDLP so you can record up to 320 minutes on
a single MiniDisc! The incredible Giga Pocket™ Personal Video Recorder lets you record your favorite video programming - and you
can even take the videos with you by saving them to DVD-RW. With all of these audio and video features built in to your PC, Sony truly
is the leader of the digital lifestyle revolution.

Well I do work for Panasonic (not lying, I really do), and I would take Panasonic products over Sony any day.

Now Sony might be decent, I don't know. I guess I am a bit biased here because I know Panasonic tech support pretty well. After all I work there. :D

Seriously though: I get a lot of free stuff from Panasonic. Just small stuff like CD Players and stuff like that. I find its really reliable. I think that Panasonic's customer service is particularly good.
When you buy electronic equipment most products are the same. What makes a brand name different is how it is supported. I got this scanner from Microtek, to use an example, and it died. I have been trying to get support on the thing. I called to place and gave up trying. I sent an email over there and got no response. I will try calling again tomorrow

Yeah, I agree 100% on the support issue...thats why I hate dell and refuse to buy Philips/Magnovox products.

Back in the day I bought a 2X CD burner for 400 bucks...and it wasn't working...they made ME pay shipping costs...3 times...same problem each time. They claimed they were sneding me new units...

I own a Dell computer and bought it because they were supposed to have the best product support. Well I tried their customer support and it flat out sucked! I upgraded my pc from win 95 to 98. Because I bought the upgrade off the shelf and not through Dell, they refused to support me with software problems. If they are the best company for support I hate to see the worst.

Honestly, I work at a help desk and if I worked the way these technicians worked I would be fired. These people are rude, they dont know half of what they talk about and when you call then they will keep you waiting for as long as a half an hour. Once they do talk to you they will give you instructions and then force you to disconnect from them and then when their instructions don't work you have to call them back. I especially am angry that many of these so called technicians are getting paid more than I am.

Sadly, i now must eat my own words. My friends sent in his sony professional dvcam for tape head repair to sony. It took them a month to tell him that the original estimate was $800 too low. Now he still has no camera. The bastards.
