No Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

Members of the Bush administration are once again floating the idea of an amnesty for illegal aliens. Tony Garza, a personal friend of President Bush who was recently confirmed as ambassador to Mexico, expressed support for an "earned legalization accord."
Supporters of an amnesty realize that the idea is very unpopular so they are resorting to such euphemisms.
Tell President Bush that Americans don’t want another amnesty. Not now. Not ever.
• An amnesty will just encourage more illegal immigration.
• An amnesty is unfair to those who play by the rules and wait to immigrate legally.
• "Earned legalization" is just another name for amnesty.

Rewarding illegal aliens with amnesty is unfair to people around the world who wait to come here legally. No matter what you call it, amnesty is a reward for those who break the law.
The 1986 amnesty caused an increase in the level of illegal immigration. Another amnesty will again encourage more people to break our laws and come here illegally. It is estimated that there are between 9-11 million illegal aliens currently in the United States. That is simply unacceptable.
Another amnesty will simply encourage more illegal immigration.
