Ever have one? Recommend it?

Yep. Had one. How I met my wife. Recommend them.... don't know for sure. I was nervous as hell, as was Laura. We didn't really talk much, left that to the other couple (yes was a double date as well). If I were to change anything, I would have wanted to meet before hand to break the ice, first...

I suggest "group" dates instead. Just let them meet each other, among friends, and maybe something will happen.

I am with you there. I went on a blind date only once in my life and it was a big time disaster.

if I could find someone to have a blind date with.. then yes I would go.. I am too shy to meet girls otherwise..

I have had a couple.. a few turned out to relationships.. then they married other guys.. and of coarse a few turned ugly.. but overall I would recommend it..

DONT EVER DO IT!!!!!

My friend once set me up with someone who was "the perfect guy"...he was only perfect if you like the type of guy who is an alcoholic, disgusting, pathological liar.....who also happens to throw empty alcohol cans out of the window.

That was a night I will never forget....my friend couldnt believe it when I told her what an ass he was.....arg

there is actually no reason why not.. yeah it could be bad.. but you don't have to talk to them again.. that's the beauty of it

I agree with the group date thing. Have the person go with some of his freinds and you with yours just so it is not so awkward. If he/she is a dud, at least y'all have other people to talk to and hang out with instead of having to be miserable or weirdly silent!

agreed.. it's a whole lot more fun with a group too.. you are less likely to run out of stuff to talk about.. just make sure it's not all one sided friends :)

im with the group date.being with other people is more kick back, you can see the person's personality and how they act with other people and it also takes pressure off if you two dont hit it off.
