I thought Jeter was supposed to be so great. He wiffed quite a bit, interefered with his own center fielder on occasion and wimped out big time when at second base when he missed a ball thrown to him with a runner bearing down. The replay showed Jeter cowardly flinched as the D-Back base runner intimidated him into not moving to catch the baseball. Jeter is overrated and overpaid.

Man, oh man what a great game!! I thought for sure we had lost it, but they kicked some Yankee hiney in the very end!!!!! WoooooHoooo!! We were up doing the victory boogie!! Ah, if only all baseball was so exciting.


Me loves football though......killing the QB, knocking guys down, and those beautiful long passes..........just love football!!!

Hey, IMHO they are ALL overpaid!! How come housewives don't make that kinda cash........I mean we cook, clean, etc.

Im not one to defend Jeter (i think he is an overpaid monkey boy), but perhaps he was flinching because he screwed up his leg on that play? I dunno, Craig Counsell does look pretty intimidating (hardy har har)

All I care about is that SOMEBODY finally gave the Yankees the butt kicking they deserve:D All the Braves seem good for is a post season choke, guaranteed! :eek:

That was hardly a but kicking. They got over but they lost 3 in a row in New York and for that reason alone they did not really dominate in World Champion fashion. Nonetheless they got over. Scoreboard for the Diamond Backs, that's about it.

Game 7 alone was quite an accomplishment. How many times has someone come back from behind in the 9th and won against Rivera? Game 6 was an all out butt kicking like SH said. …. I’m glad the NY fans got to see New York win at home, but I’m even more glad the DB’s kicked their buts to win the series.
