Anyone play this? Anyone know about this?

I played the demo for the xbox, and wow, this game looks great. Making its way onto my Xmas list for sure.

I played the Demo too...the controls were a little hard to get used to...Its been getting high rating from all the gaming mags, I say go for it.

on a side note, every time I see the name for it, I swear it says Sphinchter, not Splinter..... weird

for me its a toss up between splinter cell and ghost recon. anyone else played the latter? im curious to hear how it compares.

From my understanding ghost is more like rainbow six, etc where it is a team based combat and you direct people and what not.

Splinter cell is just you and you have a wider range of moves and options.

yeah i knew that ghost recon was a team thing, but my point was i didnt know which i would like better. i rented ghost recon and its pretty cool. kind of a glorified version of rainbow six. if i had xbox live it would be a lot cooler. i havent played splinter cell because im hoping to get it for christmas and i dont wanna ruin it for myself.

Well I never played it, but I asked a friend who has. He says Socom for the PS2 is much better. Ghost Recon is a great game (This is the one for Xbox right) however there are times where it becomes ridiculously annoying because of the lack of a jump button. You cannot Jump or climb. (What a soldier!)

He said other than that its a great game. (He works at microplay, and I've known him for years)

Is Splinter Cell only available for the X-box or is there going to be a PS2 version as well?

As of right now it is only on xbox.

Unless MS doens't get their way, I don't see it coming to PS2.

Well I love ghost recon for PC and the expansion pack for the pc version is awesome too. I am a big fan of the more realistic military games though. If your into this kind of game and liek the multiplayer aspect I mush prefer delta force either task froce delta or black hawk down. BOTh have awesome multiplayer features and such. i am a HUGE fan of all things Tom Clancy so Splinter is definatly going to be on my must have list.
