I was wondering if anybody knows of any good websites or books that explain the meaning behind dreams.

The reason I ask this Is because I've always had very lucid dreams. I can remember dreams I had when I was little kid. I have always had dreams about flying, and when I say flying I mean flying like a bird. I usually start running and then flap my arms like a bird and off I go, flying around the city (I sometimes wonder If I was a bird in a past life??). Lately I keep realizing I'm dreaming and I can take control of my dreams, the past few weeks they have been getting more strange every night it seems. I have trouble some mornings separating my dream the night before from reality sometimes because they are so damn realistic. Anybody else experience this??

I also have alot of Alien abduction dreams. I've been taken to other planets by these Aliens, It's really cool. I wonder If those are dreams or are the real thing http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif

All the time...the only dreams I cant control are nightmares and I get shockers...wake up screaming/crying/out of breathe/confused and sore. Its terrifying. I dont know any good sites because I have over time learned to interperate my own dreams.

Maybe you are being abducted....it would be selfish to assume we are the only beings in the Universe and if you get taken (nicely and NO probing lol) then more power to you http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif

Good Post..

I been having lucid dreams for about 6 months now..to the point, I dont even want to go to sleep, cause I wake up panicky..etc..

I usually write them down and see how they relate to my life..usually there is a connection and sometimes there isnt..

Manu please..give us some info if you can..

Lemme find some sites I have on old CDs somewhere...

I lucid dream ALL the time. Less now, since I think most of my sleep is VERY exhausted sleep. But I mean virtually everynight I'd lucid dream.

It is an amazing feeling. Lucid dreaming can be a key towards attempting to astral project, or astral travel (if you believe in those sort of things)

Jeff, im sure if you described your dreams more it could be construed as possible astral projection.

Well, I guess it's up to Da 'Hawk to come through with the info again http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif Here's a few sites Iwas able to dig up:

THat one looks so-so, but it was the first one I came across http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif

This one looks quite a bit more promising

Some interesting reading at that site...

Another fairly promising one from the little bit of skimming I did... Hope that's enough kiddies http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif Da 'Hawk is dragging his sorry carcass to bed to recover from this flu http://discussanything.com/Ubb/frown.gif

OH, as a final, but important note, keep a dream journal. That can really help make sense of situations like this and your dreams in general. It's a pain to start scribbling in the middle of the night, (so you remember them), but it's worth it.

CA, do you keep a dream journal? If not, you should. It will help you to learn to control your dreams, develop your "other" senses, and give you some insight as to what is going on.

We should arrange a chat about this subject. There is alot I would like to say right now, but won't because of the nature of this forum.

Hehe, I've never been probed in any of my abduction dreams, I have been taken to other planets though. I had a super real dream about 2 months ago where I was on this spaceship flying away from Earth. I thought I was awake and it was really happening. We end up flying off to the side and above the Sun it seemed. I remember being taken into the structure of some sort and I could look out the windows and see Earth. Now that was weird!! I remember saying to myself how crazy it was that I'm actually on some Alien planet and looking back at Earth! It ruled.. http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif

So you do too, cool. I've heard about astral projecting but I really don't know what it means. Sounds interesting though! Sounds like the guy on Art Bells show that claims you travel through other dimensions in dreams http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif

That's something that makes me wonder, some of my dreams are sooo out there they couldn't possibly be related to my life. I don't know where some of the stuff comes from!?

No I've never done the dream journal thing, I always thought It wasn't necessary because I remember most of them. But If It helps me figure them out I'm willing to do it.

Doi you have some secret info about dreams or something? http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif
The Aliens been taking you too?

heh ya CA OBE and astral travel/projection may very well be similar things. I mean a lot of definitons exist, but the basics seem to coincide...

I don't know TOO much about astral projection, but I got links somewhere to some good sites.

I always thought that lucid dreaming was when you could control your dreams?

That is a higher state of lucid dreaming. The 'first' level of it is just being concious that it IS a dream.

Most people once they get there can then control it.
