The guy I've been working for since I got out of Auto Mechanics drug me into a thrift store the other day... As it turns out, they had some used exercise equipment there for sale. Out of curiousity I took a look and found that they had a knock off of one of those "Health Riders" that used to be so popular, for only $8.
Needless to say, I scooped the thing up. As it turned out, the top bolt and bushing was missing from the "shock absorber" thing that it uses for added resistance. $3 at the local Ace Hardware took care of that though http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif It's just about in mint condition otherwise too. Given that these things went for almost $300 when they first came out, I think I got a serious steal http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif
All bragging aside though, I notice that they don't seem near ass popular as they were before... Not too many on sale at the local stores anyway. When they first came out, they were hyped as virtually the ideal exercise machine, (no impact, works SOOO many different muscle groups, etc...). Anyway, since a good many of you seem more up on this stuff than me, did alot of that turn out to be strictly hype, or is the American public just always looking for the next new thing?
