now... I could have asked "What the hell happened to ME??"
but I know already.
Yesterday my boyfriend Ben was on his way to school at 5:45 AM (ouch, huh?) and was winding down the country road that leads from his house to the highway. And... a deer jumped out. Now, this is NOT uncommon around here, but it's scary anyway. So he slammed on his brakes and started fishtailing... and did so for quite a ways. From what he says he was scared to death and thought for sure he was going to go off the cliff on the east side of the road. At exactly that point in time, I woke abruptly and rather violently up from the deep sleep I'd been in up to that point. I had a ringing in my ears and for reasons unknown to me at that particular time, I was really freaked out.
So, this proves it to me again. Empathy is there... boy howdy is it....
not like I had any doubts, but I'd never experienced it on that level before.

Um...congrats?

I dunno, it scared the piss outta me, that's for sure. And knowing what it was that scared the piss outta me didn't help much. Oh, sure I was less scared, but I was just as freaked out by the realization of just how deep our connection is.

Still, nice to know I'm not alone in this. Now post in your journal, girl! :p
