Yesterday, Monday the 18th of November, was the worst day I've had in a nice long time.

I just didn't know exactly how bad it was until about 45 minutes ago.

Normally, I write this e-mail journal I have due each Monday when I wake up at about 8:00 Monday morning. This is for my movement class, and I've been pretty good about it recently, after missing a couple entries early on in the semester. However, my alarm was set for THE WRONG 7:50!!! I was supposed to wake up at 7:50 a.m., get ready, do my journal, get to my acting class at 9:00 for the start of Free Scenes (all the actors, musical theatre majors, and directors partner up with whomever we wish to and perform a 6 to 8 minute scene from a contemporary play of our choice). I was up 4th.

9:45 - My cell phone rings, and wakes me up. It's my friend Asher, who says "Zach, you know you've got a scene coming up next, right?" Oh, hell.

9:51 - I arrive at acting class just in time to miss my slot for the free scene. The teachers rescheduled my scene for the end of the day instead, so it wasn't a total disaster, but I got the impression that folk were somewhat less than pleased with me...and I was less than pleased with me, too. I was pretty frikkin' dumb to set my alarm for 12 hrs. off! Anyhow, we performed, they laughed (which was good), I left to go do some of the things I had to do for the rest of the day. My other two classes I chose not to go to because...well...I didn't have to and I didn't want to. So I went back to my dorm room, and after a few other things I began this week's reading for Intro to World History.

3:00 - I was supposed to have a meeting with my movement teacher to talk about how I'm doing this semester (which I believe is not too terribly well). I, however, am still doing my history reading and totally lost track of time until just about 3:45, when I went out to get lunch (still having totally forgotten about my meeting with my movement teacher).

6:00 thru 9:45 - I work as a tele-fundraiser at the Alumni Office of Annual Giving. We call alumni, parents, and friends of the university and try to get them to donate to CMU so we can pay for stuff that tuition just doesn't cover (which is a lot). I raised about $240 last night. My first night, calling people who had never before donated in their whole alumni lives gave more to me that night than I got out of people who were supposed to give more money last night! Worst night at the job yet! Thank god it's not a commission job, huh?

So other than that, it was a pretty good day yesterday--mostly because I didn't realize just how deep the hole I dug for myself was until this morning at about noon.

Now only one word remains for the rest of this week: Eeep.

You need a day planner, mi amigo. Possibly one named Jennifer. Or Christine. Us chicks are good at watching out for our boys like that. ;) Atleast I do. I have all my guy friends appointments memorized as well as mine. I don't let them forget.

It wasn't so much forgetting, it's that the whole bit with the alarm and being late to class shot my nerves for the whole day.
