View Full Version : Who Else Thinks GOPs Gaining Ground & Jeb Bush's Win Means G. Bush Will Win In 2004? Aufgeblassen 11-14-2002, 07:57 AM I sure do! Corporate Avenger 11-14-2002, 08:37 AM I'm polishing my shoes right now!! The Frog 11-14-2002, 09:59 AM You have a Shoe-Shining Fetish now, CA? :D Kraw 11-14-2002, 10:37 AM yep... then, Dick will take the white house for the next 8 after that. Doesn't seem like the Dem's have anyone to challenge them as of now. Especially after all the infighting after this past election. Even if they put Hil up, I believe too many people are scared of what that power hungry bitch would do eanax 11-14-2002, 11:04 AM Who knows. Plenty of things can happen in two years - especially in politics... Proletarian 11-14-2002, 03:13 PM I beleive that you must wait and see, sure Dems and confused, you would to if you were torn apart. We'll resuface dont worry. Gomtuu_1 11-15-2002, 01:32 AM I beleive that you must wait and see, sure Dems and confused, you would to if you were torn apart. We'll resuface dont worry. With the new leader of the Dems in Congress, I'm not so sure, but we'll see. :-) -Gomtuu Criminal 11-15-2002, 02:57 AM I dont think so at all. The American people are naive but not stupid. I think that, providing "The Shrub" doesnt get the US into a nuclear war or declair martial law, people will see what this guy is all about. I think that the future of the United States will definately be swing in the favor of the left. The age of people in the United States continues to get older and older. More minorities are being born. As people age they will turn against the Republicans. They will get fed up with the Republicans' attempts to thwart any practical health care reform. Soon people will not only favor national health care but they will demand it. None of the Republicans scare tatics will work any more. I will also add that as the Republicans are succeeding at fukking up the economy, and more and more people are jobless and without safety nets (which the republicans yanked out from under them) there will be more anger. We will see rises in unemployment, homelessness, poverty and crime. The republicans will react as they usually do, telling people that its their fault that they are poor and hungry but this time around the people wont take it. They will give Bush and his nazis the middle finger as they vote those pricks out of office. Criminal 11-15-2002, 03:00 AM Originally posted by Corporate Avenger I'm polishing my shoes right now!! People were assuming a typical republican takeover post ronald regan. The economy was Bush Sr thron in his side and very well could be for GWB. The economy I think will ultimatley be a deciding factor. So will if another 'major' terrorist attack occurs on US soil. Geoff- I'd be QUITE suprised if: a. Cheney would run for president in 08 b. The people would elect him He has virutally no charisma, failing health (thats off and on), and has played in politics far too long to make a launch at presidency. Following Bush (if he gets reelected) I'd expect to see Lott make a bid. |
