Just wondering if there are any (former?)Atlanta Braves fans who are as sick as I am of watching them choke in grand style every time they get to the playoffs? This year it's even worse, despite barely maintaining a lead in the NL East, they've played with seemingly little intensity or motivation all year. I doubt they'll even win the NL East this year.

I am a former BRAVES fan and with the way they have been playing I am ashamed to say it. I don't know if the players they are recruiting are bad or if Bobby Cox is just not inspiring them to play well but they SUCK! I used to watch every game I could but now I just skip that channel when they are playing. It's torture to watch and I am embarressed for them.

Shaddup on the Braves, I'm a huge Phillies fan, born there, former season ticket holder, and to watch them to come SO close and go home with nothing is hard.
The Braves Magic Number is 1, so I hope the Phils can win them all, and the Marlins bring a case of whupass.

Gotta feel for yah slayr... But you've gotta see where we're coming from too. It's a miracle they're in first place at all. I don't know if they turned this stat around the last few days, but they were about to become the first pro sports team EVER to make it to the playoffs with a losing home record.
Their overall play has been mediocre, and they show no motivation at all most of the time. Win or lose doesn't matter to me as much as putting some effort into it.
At least the Phillies usually play like they want to win. The Braves normally act like they could care less either way, or that it's just supposed to happen w/o any effort.
With all that said, I'm VERY pleased with their play the last few days, esp that 55 gallon drum of industrial strength arse whooping they opened up on the Marlins last night. Let's see if they can keep it up though...
