I was listening to the Jim Rome show and he had them on there and they were going at it verbally. Lewis kept calling him son. At one point Lewis told him to shut up and put his money where his mouth is and bet $1 million that he would win the next fight. Lewis was serious, he said I'll bet you right now $1 million that you won't beat me again. Rock back pedalled saying I don't gamble etc.. I wasn't at all surprised to see that they were goint at it in a studio later on in the day. I think LL is right Rock got lucky and if LL btings his A game he will destroy Rock boringly but destroy him none the less.

The fight is November, I think. The next big fight is Sept. 15. Felix Trinidad vs. Bernard Hopkins to unify the middle weight belts. Trinny is going to kill his ass and then move on to Roy Jones Jr. Tito is my favorite fighter right now. Viva Puerto Rico!

The more I thibk about it, the more I am convinced that had to be staged! Sounds like Don King is taking his cues from the WWF. That is EXACTLY the kind of stunt that will juice the paying veiwers up too. With millions of dollars on the line, a little stunt like this is worth a lot to these fights when it comes to generating revenues for PPV.

But for creatures of lesser intelligence, the word EMPATHY can be a hard word to roll off the lips.

Yes, now you are using your noodle! It would be quite extraordinary if two individauls who working together as opponents generate millions of dollars for each will have any real ill will toward each other. That is why professional athletes seem like such softies today. Big money.

FM50 and Snouter, you all are thinking on solid ground but in this instance are wrong. LL hates Rock. LL hates the fact that he lost his titles at what he sees as a lucky punc. Further Rock tried not to fight him again and LL had to sue him to honor the rematch clause of his contract. Jim Rome who is a very credible sports journalist interviewed the two the same day as the brawl. He said that they were clearly serious and it was not an act and he was happy to get them out of his studio when he did. Now here is the kicker. LL has been rumored to be gay and has been questioned on it several times and there have been articles written on it. He takes high offense to it and has repeatedly denied it. Just prior to the fight Rock said that he thought that LL taking him to court was "gay" LL was pissed (for real) because he thought that Rock was calling him gay. LL replied well bring on your sister. They had already agreed that they would not bring family into any arguments. Then LL went at Rock. The sh-t was real. No Don King/WWF sensationalism. Two guys that took it too far. LL hates Rock trust me it is no act. Jim Rome and other credible sports journalist also agree that it was real.
