I got my fist one two weeks before labor day weekend 2001. Come labor day weekend I got another one. Skip to now, I have nine of them. I'm likely to get another one. Who else enjoys this hobby of self-decoration?:)

Yup, I do. I got two tats which I love and two piercings. I know a lot of people aren't fond of piercings here, but I love 'em!

i love my piercings too.

i have one tatoo, it's almost a sorority girl tatoo it's so tiny and hidden, (and it's a rose) :P

i do plan to get another one, but i can wait until i find the perfect one.

No tats here. I guess I kinda view the whole 'pure body' thing.

I think they are cool when meaningful and tasteful. But so many people rush out to get em cause they are 'cool.'

I'd like to get a really cool one. Maybe a sun in the style of the wiccan sun on my arm, and have the left and right flames encircle my arm. Or do that on one shoulder and a cresecent moon on the other. (Here's the Wiccan Sun, also used by Godsmack)
http://www26.brinkster.com/smackpt/sol.jpg

I also think an eye would be really cool on my chest... But have the inside of the pupil be a foggy landscape. That would be sweet.

I don't have any, and probably never will, but if I were to get one, it'd be this:

I'm one of those you all can make fun of for getting an arm sleeved. Oh well. I've got 5 now, two on my shoulder (pretty much covering the whole shoulder), one on my wrist, and two on my back. Many more to come obviously.

I'm getting a tat of the comedy & tragedy masks on my left shoulder blade, but that's it for now. Who knows, tho, maybe some time in the future I'll get a wolf howling silhouetted against a full moon. Ya never can tell...

I sort of have some more planned for my back, it's all a matter of money and trying to get them all to mesh with each other.

I have two. One on each forearm. My right arm has a dragon in color, actually it is from the cover of a book by Steven Brust called Phoenix. On my left forearm is another dragon in blackwork, the only color is in the eye and the flames from it's mouth.

I waited 3 years to make sure I wanted a tattoo. I did not want it to be a spur of the moment thing. The I went and did research on various local tattoo shops making sure they were up to health codes and so forth.

Will I get more? Probably. I have two ideas maybe three just depends if I still want them after some more time has passed

I have considered getting one done for years. If I ever get up the courage it would probably be a colourful Celtic pattern cross. But I'm pretty sure I'd pass out while getting it done:p

and you people with multiples are scaring me.....sounds like it's kind of addictive.

I think the reason for getting one would be to show I can still be a rebel:D

And yeah, no one else likes that idea for a tattoo either, but I think it symbolizes so much of my thoughts about multiple subjects that it'd be one of the few things that'd truly be worthy of placing as an icon on my body.

Well have fun.. I hope you can take a lot of pain cause that would take forever to get put on... considering you actually find someone willing to do it. :D

If I got a tat I'd probably do a horse or a rose or something girlie like that.

Nothing that would scare people away.

i got one a couple months ago. i never thought that i would get one but i did. my stepmom and i went together. i got a rose with vines on both sides on the top of my left breast. i think it is pretty cool but i don't think that i will get another one. i got it there because, well i have a lot of meat there and didn't think it would hurt. i don't know where else i could get one that it wouldn't hurt...i am a woose..sorry!!

I've got "USMC on my left shoulder, next to an eagle with its wings sprawled, above a tribal arm band. I have a buffalo skull on my heart, and three consecutive tribals formin a chain from my right peck to my right shoulder. There's also an aztec eagle on my right shoulder, and a chinese dragon on my right shoulder blade. I'm trying to think of what to get next......No sleeves, though.

Interesting selection, Diabhal.

I'd like to get a few. One of the newer Cybermen emblem, one of the United Federation of Planets emblem (in color), and the birthdate of my sons on my chest (in an old Texas Instruments number font).

just for the record, anyone who gets a tattoo around their belly button is lame. guys who do it look like chicks and chicks who do it look like they have a target on them. this has been a public service announcement, you may now return to your online virtual world. i think some tats are cool like sleeves and armbands even though i dont have any myself. im not a fan of them on girls really, not because im sexist but because they have the tendency to look sorority-esque.

personally, I have three one on my right shoulder, one(her name)one on my right wrist on top her name and mine, one on my right ankle(yingyang), I dig the whole egyptian thing. my wife, Lisa beat me to it though, she got her name and mine in hyroglyphics around her ankle tribal band like. My next one will be those pics from the book of the dead, the judgement scene like this........

I like them as long as they aren't you just trying to be as Kraw would say "kewl".

Me personally, I'm into them and piercings. I never got anything for other people though. Never gave it much thought before I did get them. One day I was sitting at my house playing N64 with my little sister about 1030am and said let's go, I want this. You can't see anything when I'm dressed normally. But if some one comes across my dead body someday, he'll know what I believe in and where I'm from.

All the tribal stuff and Chineness...don't like it. If you want to get something that means something to you and you want to share it with others, get it so others can see it or read it.

Two of my friends are addicted to them. Both females. And they all look good on them. One friend has a mural on her back of a unicorn in purple haze. I know it sounds chickish, but it looks nice. The artists are good (Big Daddys/Tattoo Delux) My other friend has a thing for stars, so theres a few on her lower back, upper back, arm, and ankle. Also a band of surface piercings on her arm, stomach, chest, clevage, and neck. Yes..I know. Im just jealous, i cant get **** cause of work. But in a few Im getting my 1st. tat... 'VATER' on the back of my neck. :D

I got work done there... in harbor city I think, right? I got traditional swallows on my shoulders and in my opinion, they're the best swallows I've ever seen. (and I'm not just saying that out of bias) They do good work there. There will be more done to my back around them, so they're lonely for now, but here's a picture of one of them. Got one on my right shoulder, a red Rolling Stones (mouth/tounge) logo. Had it done back in the mid 80s, may need some touch up now as bright colors fade after a while, been thinking about using it as a starting point for more in a theme of some sort.

If I get them I'm getting a Gothic or Celtic design of them, none of that fancy-shmancy flowers and birds crap.

I want mine to look freakish and cool...and maybe a little unsettling.

Don't like it still? Well, smell my laundry :p.

Sleeves are hot. Not only do they make me drool, but it takes alot of time and effort and you have to sit on a chair for hours at a time to get it done. It's like an endurance test, and the sleeve itself is your trophy.. something you're proud to have on your body. I've almost gotten a tattoo a couple of times but everytime I've taken something in to see if it worked or not I have second doubts. As of now, I'm not actively drawing anything or searching for that one perfect drawing, but if at some point I see or draw something I like so much and has enough meaning in it, I'll get it done.

I'm not so much scared of needles, i'm scared of waking up one day with a tattoo in a visible place that i can't get rid of --- and realizing i really hate it, after all! I mean, once you have them on, it costs a *lot* to take them off, and imo people in their 60's or 70's look really funny with tattoos all over their arms. but that's just me.
so if i ever get one, it'll be small, and hidden (ie, you only see it if you know me -really- well) - i like the unicorn idea, or a butterfly, something "girlie" :)

i go in for piercings more - i heal fast, and i don't scar too much, so if i decide i don't like it, i can always take it out, and it won't show. kinda like cutting your hair or dying it, i guess.

it's not that i'm against tattoos, some people look really cool with tattoos, though, so do what you want, just remember you'll have it for the rest of your life, that's what i say... (and don't get your new girlfriend's name across your chest in two-inch letters, duh!!)

People that are alive at 60 and 70 and have tattoos are the type of people that probably shouldn't've gotten tattoos in the first place.

Although come to think of it my mom's in her 60's and has a tattoo. Hmmmm.....

I have 6 tattoos myself and am planing on getting at least 3 more. All of mine are hidden if i wear a short sleeve shirt though. I dont want stuff all down my arms. Its just too hard for people to look at that and see anything besides the stereotypes people have about that kind of thing. I had 23 piercings cause i used to do them at a shop. I took them all out when i joined the army though. Now they are all still out cause i have been too lazy to get them redone. I think I am going to put back in my earrings in my ears and stuff though. no more tounge ring for me though.

Actually, all of my tattoos are pretty much hidden even when wearing short-sleeve shirts. (Except my tribal armband which aca be seen depending on the length of the sleeves). I have no desire to get tattoos below the short-sleeve line.

I spent a strange year in S. Korea. Their language is called Hongul (sp?), looks like a cross between tribal, Asian characters, and little houses. Due to my state of mind, my favourite song was "Paint it Black" by the Stones. One of my Katusa (Korean) buddies wrote out the song title in Hongul characters for me, was gonna get them tatooed around the tongue, but I want to wait 'till I can get the placement of the words verified so I don't end up with something embarassing on me (change the words around and change the meaning, you know?) Might come out funny, though.
I know it may not be a good idea to have a constant reminder of a bad thing, so I'm still kicking it around a few years later.

part of the reason i think i can get a tatoo and be happy with it, is because i dont want to live my life regretting any actions i did when i was younger.

If i like me now, i will like who i was when i am older.

btw, i want to be able to wear a tank top and a miniskirt and not show anything.

I have two so far, one I got when I was 16, the other when I was 21, and the next one is coming soon!

I'm very picky about my tattoos though, I won't put anything on my body unless i've drawn it myself (the story with my first two tattoos) or my sister hasn't drawn it herself (she's a tattoo artist in salt lake city, likely to do my next one). It does a little. I only have one and it's right between my shoulders. It's a tribal sign, of something it's hard to describe. A friend of mine just got a tattoo in the same place I have mine and she said it hurts a little worse there compared to her shoulder, but it's still not too bad.

This is kinda like Stage Monster's "Are You Hole-y" thread, but I have a tat around my right arm and my left ear pierced. However, I have stopped wearing anything in it since... well I pretty much will have to keep it clear all the time as of May.

But I am drawing my own tat for my next one, IF there is a next one. I am not a huge fan of tattoo's unless they are done well and tastefully placed. Infact I am thinking of two different tats. One I am designing and the other one I like is the Mustang running pony infront of the red, white and blue bars.:D But who knows if I ever will get another one done.

My tat didn't hurt going on, just kinda pinched abit. What really bothered me is how it wouldn't ich all day, but then when I layed down and tried to sleep it would annoy the hell out of me. Thank God that lasted less than a week.;)
