Tonight is day 5 of my Zumba Trek. It's still fun. I suspect I will soon look back on this thread and say: WHA??? Fun? But to a certain degree having every muscle in your body burning is a good thing right? Don't worry folks, I had a dance teacher who helped distinguish good pain from bad pain.. HAHA
I'm not stepping on a scale for at least a week, because i want to prevent discouragement and by then I'm sure I'll have made a lb change... but i have seen results. Go me

Time to work out.
Peace.

note to self: always remember how painful it is to work out when you have a headache...

workout nite number 9: i have just remembered that until you are fully adjusted to your workout, it becomes more and more difficult every night... and somehow i've blocked out how long that lasts.
UGH... luckily most of the little muscles i've managed to pul have managed to stretch themselves back into place... but man...

Bonnie-

Just food for thought (as I know nothing about what ya look like, how much ya weigh, etc)

But I just want ya to know that MANY guys in this country go for woman other than the starving/sickly Size 1 girls! I swear! Its true :)

LOL thanx Manu.... I'm not going for sickly tho... I'd never want to look like that-- i just said size 4 as an estimate... though that is actually not necesarilly that small (depending on what store its from...Old Navy and Abercrombie's Sizes are pretty generous... I LOVE those places for that:D )

but besides that... I'm not working out for any guy- it's for me.
of course, i do think it plays a big role in all the dating stuff but that really isnt a matter of being able to find a guy, its a matter of me being happy enough with myself.

"18, wipe the slate clean, number 18"

you'll only get that if you've played "You Don't Know Jack"

#22 I think..whatever, I'm not a math major. (it would be 23 but i skipped last friday.. which is fine, as long as i dont skip more than one day in a week or better yet one day in two weeks...)

Last night, i was majorly pressed for time so i bravely decided to try the "Rapido" video. MAN they weren't kidding. If you ever get the chance to do this workout, you should SO do it. Okay, i have to warn that i could have dropped dead it was so difficult, but it was also fun when i wasn't worrying about....dying... Haha.. anyways, maybe i'll try that one again in a few months--its 15 minutes but even Beto-- the Zumba dude was sweating buckets (he doesnt sweat in the beginners video)

So, yeah. I added an apple a day to my diet. Go ahead and laugh, but you wont if you know how much that helps-- it lowers other food intake, has fiber, prevents sickness... and i think helps results.. also, working on more water and as few non-water drinks as possible. I'm going for a super-mega fiber diet as of right now, that is what has worked for me in the past, so...

I'm so Cranky. Aside from just having found out this week that i have no winter job (my 1200 dollar winter job.) *bangs head into wall* , I also have been swiftly reminded that just because the whole "schedule" gets shifted by a sudden stretch of workouts, that doesn't stop PMS from rearing it's ugly head.

GRRR

HAH.... I'm so the biggest nerd.
Tonight, I just really didn't feel like doin the latin dance thing so i turned on one of my old Richard Simmons Videos-- i have sweatin to the oldies 1 and 2 and also one called dance your pants off.

Actually, i thought it was gonna be all "senior-citizens-waving their arms around while sitting in wheekchair-ish" but if sweat is any indication, it was a pretty good amount of workout. there were even some parts that were harder than ZUmba. SO, maybe i should alternate more. I need this workout routine to last.

And i need to buy some free weights. 4 pounds i think, My oldest sister had some 5 pound ones and they were WAY too heavy..so i think i can handle 4, especially now that my arms are a little stronger.

*pats self on the back* so im doing pretty well. I was talking to Sydney about working out and stuff (the 10 year old girl i babysit for twice a week) and she was SO adorable telling me that i should be sure to treat myself sometimes... hah...

but anyways...4 months till the wedding (my sisters, not mine, but i'm at least a bridesmaid...maybe even maid of honor, that'd rock) and also, i'm auditioning for some plays in... hmm actually, i dont know when the auditions are yet. Sometime between Janauary and February I believe. I need to find that out soon.
*play withdrawal bites, its really depressing*

okay, the wedding date was changed to March 15.....
*SIGH* well, my sister found her wedding dress already.. it was in the first store she looked in, for like 70 or 75% off... You would not BELIEVE the amazing price. Okay, so, yeah, MUST get in sleeveless shape so i can buy a decent bridesmaid dress.

I did Sweatin the the oldies 2 again tonight. I'm beginning to think it's an even better workout than ZUmba in some ways. Anyways, my plan for now is to do whichever workout i can stand each night.. so i can alternate i guess... THe Richard Simmons videos are slower than Zumba, but i think they might be more effective from the content... there is more of that "good pain" that you get from a good workout... and the second one works arms...there is even a weights thing (the people in the video use bottles of colored liquid) i used two bottle of snapple :)
i know, i'm a geek.

actually, i like richard simmons as a host WAyyyy more than i like beto. And i met Richard Simmons, so that is kinda funny. He is just more personable on tape i guess... Beto (the host of ZUmba) is kinda disconnected i think.
