Well, not oddball, but I loved magic...before all teh weird expansions came out.

Nuclear war is fun...

So was the werewolf card game..

I still find myself playing Magic some, but it's more for theme decks than anything.

We had a tournament once where all you could play were useless card . . . that was pretty funny. We also had a tournament where the object was to get yourself killed. Direct damage to yourself was NOT allowed. That was pretty funny, too.

Nuclear Was IS one of my faves, I must admit, but I like Slasher, too.

As much as I hate to admit it, the Call of Cthulhu CCG suckled . . . badly.

I always liked to play theme decks. Honestly, I don't have anything that's ruthless unless I play generals.

I've got a Merfolk deck that I love dearly . . . hehehe, and a poison counter deck (of all things). Plus, I've got several "named" decks . . .

Hey, great idea for a new thread!!!

Man, Magic was cool back in the day. I love games like that that allow you to be social. Cuz you gotta admit, it did kinda spawn a loyal following of buddies at your local playing center. I think the best decks were goblin decks. But geez, I swear, with all of those weird ass expansions coming out, I have no idea what's going on. I couldn't play again even if I wanted to. I think I stopped playing right before, um, fifth? edition came out. The one card that got me to stop.... Maze of Ith. Hated that card, even more because I could never pull one.

I really liked the Battletech card game. It was pretty complicated, so it required more smarts than Magic...

Oh, wow, I remember the Batteltech card game. You ARE referring to the one that was out like five or six years ago, right? I think I still have those cards lying around somewhere...

Another great card game that just came out over the summer (not collectible, just a card game) is Chrononauts. It's all about messing with the timeline. :)

Yeah, I was referring to that one, it was the greatest :) I even got em when they first came out, the cards had a black border and starter decks came with a six-sided die... Woohoo!!! It's all about the Victor Steiner-Davion and his personal Dire Wolf cards. I have/had both of em and it always led to major ass whoopin...

Heh, yeah, I remember those. It's all about the Draconis Combine, though, man. Ya got it backwards. :)

No, actually it's about a combo effective groundwork and carpetbombing, but that's the cheap way to go :)
