I just rented this for the PS2 and I gotta say...

I was totally let down. I mean, we're talking one of the coolest franchises in the history of gaming, and now this....5 levels, easy-to-figure-out boss patterns, and the bosses themselves aren't original, as several of them, as with the levels, have basically been copy and pasted from the older Contra games.

My favorite was the first installment for the SuperNES. Way better than this tripe.

The first installment was the best ever imo. It was way too bad! The second one let me down big time. I had as much fun with that as I do with Mega Man. Check that I had more fun with Mega Man than the second contra:D

thanks for the look out man. I would have actually spent my money on that game.

I like the original from the regular NES
