View Full Version : remote viewing
Art is ALWAYS talking about this.. how the govt. is/has used it in the military etc.
what do you think about it? Anyone want to go into more detail aobut this?
Redfield 10-27-2002, 11:45 PM It's actually not that new of an idea. The idea of it stems from the buddhist/hindu concept of astral projection upon enlightenment.
The basic concept is that a person would be able to view people, objects, and/or events from a separate location. For example, a man sitting in Quantico could "view" the events taking place in Kansai Airport in Japan. Another example is that of a person being able to "see" the contents of an envelope, briefcase, etc. without ever opening the envelope.
The military experimented with it during the 60's with Project MK ULTRA. They used hallucinigenic drugs, including LSD, to force a subject's mind into a state where they might've been able to remote view. Officially, it never worked. But what's "officially" mean anyway. Like we'd ever know.
Monster 10-28-2002, 12:11 AM I've come to understand that it wasn't that MK Ultra wasn't successful, just that it wasn't reliable.
Things were accomplished, but never reproducable successes.
Corporate Avenger 10-28-2002, 04:21 AM Yea Art does talk about it alot, I believe in it myself, I have always had a small ability to foresee things since I was a kid. I don't doubt that there are people that can do the things that is talked about on Art Bells show..
Well, I think there are multiple types/forms of possible remote viewing.
One is scrying which is a more 'magic' orientated form. In this someone would use a device to scry (like a dish with water, book, etc) and 'remote view.'
Another means would be via astral projection, where someone leaves there body and can 'see' places and then return to their body.
A third would be a form of projection, but where one can simply 'see' another surrounding by 'projecting' their conciousness there (I make a distintion between this and astral travel)
I am not sure if any are possible or happen. Though, I do have feelings about astral projection.
Vital Sign 08-28-2004, 05:41 PM I heard about remote viewing on the discovery channel its pretty cool. they had like five remote viewers.there was a house like 10 miles away from them.
there was a target inside the house.they had identify in which room of the house the target was.and the guys just showed the remote viewers an outlinje of the building. most of the remote viewers identified a lot of the details of the house and they got pretty close to where the target was hiding without ever having saw the house.
Mystlet 08-28-2004, 10:28 PM MKUltra was also the use of extreme abuse, physically, mentally, sexually in order to fragment the victims personality to make it pliable. They used hypnotive techniques to mold & train the person.
Not like the stage hypnotists "you are a chicken" stuff, but getting the victims to see things they would usuallly deem as safe as a threat so they would want to act on it."Participants" were/are not volunteering for this, in fact many are still working out what has been done to them. They would look for likely people to "train', those who could be molded easiest & children (yes, children) whose parents willingly gave them to do their patriotic chore, as well as parents who didn't know what was going on. Some parents were also participants and trained as "messengers" or "handlers of messengers".
The gov. also used these children as sexual pawns to extract info & blackmail high ranking national & international leaders.
Very scary stuff.
As you can tell, I've been doing a little researching on the subject. Sorry if I've pulled you off topic here.
h2g2Fan 08-28-2004, 10:35 PM I think there's a movie about this.
Tala Hotyk 08-31-2004, 12:35 PM If you want to experience a remote viewing just try peyote. :nice:

Hook me up.

Dreamscapist 08-31-2004, 02:32 PM I've experienced remote viewing while in a hypnogogic state, but it was undirected and uncontrolled. And I have heard of remote viewing being reported by subjects given Harmine (extracted from yage) and even psilocybin, but not peyote.
Redfield 09-24-2004, 01:02 AM I think there's a movie about this.
There are several. The most recent being "Suspect Zero" with Ben Kingsley.
Dreamscapist 09-24-2004, 12:31 PM A faraway lover who really wanted to be with me but couldn't at the time tried her best to "come to me" in my bed, and actually managed to "see" within my bedroom; she accurately described the unusual colors of my bed linens (black sheets, green spread) and also saw an "orange box" which she felt was very significant. In fact, I keep all my writings in an orange crate in that room.
