Do they exist? (Aliens)

Why?

Why not?

Are they like us, totally different, or whatever?

"I don't know. But if we are the only intelligent life here, it seems like an awfully big waste of space."

I personally believe that aliens do exist, I just think they're too smart to come to Earth. http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/ups/icis/ices_lol_large.gif

I think it's a definate possibilty. I mean, if we're here, there's got to be some form of life out there somewhere. I'm pretty sure that I've seen some ufos before too.

What if we're actually a hybrid species? Perhaps we're half alien and half ape. A gene splicing experiment gone wrong? An interstellar cloning experiment or something?

What if aliens want to inhabit this planet but can't tolerate the environment? They would then have to create a subspecies for whatever reason.

Perhaps that would explain the many fossils of early man. These were early attempts that failed. It could also explain why there are so many sightings of E.T.; he's coming back to check on us from time to time to see how the experiment is going. It may also explain why they don't interact with us. Perhaps we've not evolved enough to put our violent nature aside.

Maybe we're some kind of slave race. They create us and we build. They check in on us, and when we've built our society to where they want it, they eradicate us and move in on a planetary scale. They may do this throughout the universe. Use us hybrid slaves to tame wild planets.

That's one of the theories out there..:D

You been readin Zacariah Zitchen??

There's also a theory out there that we might have been the "aliens" that built Cydonia on Mars.

I've thought about the idea that we might be some genetic experiment by some mad Alien scientist too. You never know...:)

Damn. As far as I knew that one was all mine. Oh well.

I don't really believe any of what I wrote. I made it up one day while discussing the subject with someone else. I will give it this though; I wouldn't rule it out. It could be possible. After all, these people travel God knows how far, so this really wouldn't be above their ability.

As a side note, I do belive there are extra terrestials. Weird; I believe in extra terrestials but I'm not sure about God.

Why?

I believe it is a mathematical certainty considering how many stars there are out there and the size of the universe. And of course the thousands of sightings and the available evidence points out that they have been here In my opinion..

Why not?

I believe there are different looking Aliens species, they can be intelligent and look completely different from us.

There are supposedly 4 different kinds of Aliens I think. There are the Reptilians who are shaped similar to us but have Reptilian skin.

There are the Grays which I think are commonly mistaken for the little Green men. They are short and look like the traditional Alien with a skinny body and a big head with huge Black eyes.

There are the Whites which I think look like us but have really pale White skin and no body hair (if I remember right).

Then there is supposedly an Alien race that looks just like us and they can move freely among us without us knowing.

I think the last ones would be considered the "Hybrids", not sure on that..

Those are the one's I've heard of. They seem to be the most popular visitor to Earth.

I used to work with a lady who claimed to be abducted by the Grays. She would show you her ear where she claimed they took a piece if you laughed at her.

Why does it seem that these alien beings that are so smart that they can travel millions of miles come to Earth and abduct the stupidest examples of our race? Einstein was never abducted. Jimbo from the trailer park down the road was. Why? Are they testing for weak links in the genetics? Are they trying to see where they went wrong? Hmmmm. Maybe I'm starting to believe that hybrid theory.

I know some Christians have this theory that aliens are actually demons, which if interpreted the proper way, are described in the Bible.

Pretty cool actually, though I don't agree with it. And yes, I have no use being in this thread.

I don't know why the main theories of alien form all make them bipedal. I mean, look at us, we lose one leg and we're crippled. Now look at a quadraped (sp?), I've seen dogs with one front and one rear leg that still find ways to move around. I honestly believe that if an alien species exists that has evolved beyond our comprehension, it would be tripedal at least, maybe more.

And who's to say that an alien wouldn't have darker skin? If a planet is closer to its relative sun than is ours, wouldn't it stand to reason that a darker skin color would have come of it, to help with the ultraviolet radiation, etc.?

And lets not forget that there is the possibility of a life form evolving in a non-oxygen based atmosphere (i.e. Mars Attacks), or even from a non-carbon based environment (i.e. Evolution, but that's not so great of a movie). I personally say that the four commonly accepted versions of 'aliens' need to be placed at the bottom of an infinite list of possiblities. Personally, I like Ridley Scott (Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection)'s theories, along with the Jim Henson creature labs vision in Predator (it was Henson, wasn't it?), except again for the bipedal part.

...but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong

I've got an implant..:D

I just say, who knows? They would have to be soo advanced I don't think we can even begin to understand them. While it might sound stupid to us that they abduct Jeb from his trailer it might make perfect sense to them? Like you said, maybe they are trying to figure out what happened that led to traile trash..:D
Or maybe Einstein never admitted it or they erased his memory of the event.. Ya never know..

Could be, but I don't believe any that have visited here look like they did in the movie "Alien". A creature that looked like that seems like they'd be too dumb to figure out how to even fly much less come here. And if they don't have a thumb.. Well..:)
But ya never know, could be an intelligent slime on Venus that thrives on the hot temeratures..?

Ya.. the theory goes on to state something to the effect taht extraterrestrial activity is increasing in an effort to stimulate a belief in them so that when the rapture occures those who are left behind will write it off as a mas alien abduction.

I dunno what I believe. It is entierly possible that there are aliens.
If GOd exists, it is possible he created another planet with another race of people on it, though I highly doubt he would allow us to come into contact with one another..

If he doesnt exist and we evolved here then life on another planet is an absolute certainty.

BUT.. do they really come and visit us here?
I seriously doubt it.

I do not believe there is anything here that they would want to visit us for, nor do I believe there is anything that would alert an alien civilization to our existance.
There is no way they would have picked up radio waves from us.. the techonolgy to create them has not existd long enough for the waves to travel to a distance at which another inhabitable planet might exist.

just doesnt make sense to me..

Tami says... (and I in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM AGREE)

That we are like a McDonald's. Aliens came through originally, and scattered species along different planets, so that as they came back through, they'd never run out of fresh meat.

I say, that the universe is just like Star Trek in some ways, but that we're too arrogant. I think the Human species is NOT the dominant, not most plentiful. By far, judging from our resident intelllects, not the smartest.

I think that someday, when we reach a certain stage of development, that the "prime directive" or whatever they call it, will cease to be an issue, and we'll be able to join the "Federation". I think by that time, so many things will be explainable, that we blame on supernatural things now.

Personally? I can't wait for Synthohol, and replicators...LOL

I think 'aliens' exist, but I do not believe they are extraterrestrial ('little green men' from other planets).

Most of you already know what I think, I posted a thread on this a couple months ago. ;) These beings are hyperdimensional, and as Battletoad said, I believe they are demonic or angelic.

This topic is fascinating, IMO. I definitely want to learn more about it.

I personally think we would be on one huge ego trip to deny that life could exist somewhere else, and that maybe we aren't the most intelligenst species. I like to think there are aliens, that thwy are as interested in us as we are of them.

You know, I have a theory on those anal prob legends.

I think that, seeing as how they always seem to happen to these backwoods hicks, that it's not aliens at all but super-intelligent cows and bulls that are merely getting revenge on their farmers.

It's super cows, I tell ya, super cows! :p
