Not bad.

the best thing to do is save it to your desktop, then make a copy... then, right click on the copy and rename it from pic.jpg to pic.txt.. then upload it and use the img tags as normal

And you won't, .txt is a Text file, .jpg/.gif/.bmp etc are image files....and since Photoshop is an image editor, it doesn't deal with text files.

By far the best I have used is http://www.photobucket.com

They let you create folders, upload up to somewhere around 20 images at a time, come with the tags ready to go.

And are 100% free.

Only snag is that anything over 250KB gets resized.

I use them over my own site, due to the ease of uploading.

I use: snapfish & sonyimagestation for photos to share.
sony has these cutesy photo albums, and both have simplistic rendering/photo edit tools. (crop, red eye...)

But for hot-linking I use: http://www.villagephotos.com/
They used to be free...now it is about $5 for 6 months, on up..

Basic/Free 25 - 120K (no frills)

they have ready to use tags (borrowing your words) :D

I'm going to have to look into photobucket....

Photobucket seems to be the most popular. Another free site is web shots. You can upload 250 photos for private or public viewing. If I didn't have my own web site, I would be using web shots. It's very user friendly and they have some fantastic photographs to use for wallpaper.

I have a lot of people on my other forum using imageshack.us. Registration is not required, but if you do register, you can keep all of your images together, create free albums and photoblogs. There is NO upload limit and it is fast.

For large images they give you the option of posting a thumbnail pic, that when clicked goes to the full image on their site. It will help DAs bandwidth. It also hosts swf. There is nothing complicated about it. Once you upload an image it creates all the different links you may need.

I love it. This is a thumbnail of a halloween wallpaper I made. If you notice the image size is under the pic. To see it full size just click. You may have to click one more time to see the full image depending on your monitor resolution.

For a quick one that you don't care to follow, I use FreeImageHosting.net. No registration, and they also host flash.

Both are reliable. I have been using image shack for a number of years. :p
