These are all digital. The first two were off of a digital video camera that has a fairly poor quality, so that is why they are not great. The other three are off of a 1.1 (I think) megapix epson digital camera. They've been scaled down to 640x480

I took this picture at my sisters old house on the Severn river near Annapolis MD.
It's hosted at NetSnapShot and I know I can't link to them anymore, but I'm gonna try to put up a link to it...
Let's see if this works...

*edit*
Well, they won't even let me put a link to the picture... Bastards...

If you want to see it, go to www.netsnapshot.com and search for my name; sawbones25. The picture is in the "Various" album, and it should be the first picture. Titled "March on the river".

*edit again*
Lemme see if this at least works...

That's a pretty nice shot, saw. Reminds me of my windsurfer friends:p

I'm still trying to figure out how to get hooked up with the free 100MB my ISP promises...last time I called they said the "disk was in the mail"hahaha....Actually, I think the guy I talked to is a member on here.

Don't wanna give myself away though:D Besides, most of my "artsy" shot are on slides and I have no way to scan them....yet.

I am trying to find it,but Kraw will have to scan it and on the site.
They are 7 months old and never in all my life have I seen two "enemies' together.
The snapshot was done in a hurry,so the quality may not be good.

Katalina: That Bathtub one is Great! (Even though I can't stand kids... that one makes me smile) Thanks! That one makes me smile too. He was so mad at me for taking his picture, that's the result I got.

Thanks to for the compliments on my eyes. They don't necessarily get me what I want, except that one thing from ponycar:D I don't know how he captures me like he does. I used to think I look horrible in pictures.

I can’t say which ones I like the most. They all captivate me one way or another. You’re all great shutterbugs! I bet every picture tells a story of one way or another. If I had to pick a few, it would be the scenery pictures. Especially the mountains ones. Very beautiful.

That's funny, I thought the exact same thing. The pic is of one of my friends during a party at my house where we had a couple DJs spinning, a pre-party to going to see George Acosta. It was one of those unplanned pictures that turned out cool. Thanks for the compliments.

Ok guys, I am counting close to 60 entries at this time.

This can be handled in 2 ways, we can make a poll in which you vote for your favorite photographer, OR you vote for the best pic. If we vote for best picture, I will probably have to ask each contestant to enter the 2 pictures of their choice for voting.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Voting will begin tentavily December 9.

Thanks,

Heather

Okay I agree with using two submissions per person. I have a suggestion for the finalization...

How about putting a LINK to all the images to be judged on one source (post, or an excel spreadsheet, whatever) so they can be opened, viewed, and rated one at a time.

Opening this thread is a little crazy with all the pics, and hard to judge because I forget about the first ones after viewing so many.

Does sound like a good idea?

Katalina
10-28-2002, 01:45 PM
I think Adam's Idea sounds good. Plus I agree too, with the 2 submissions per person.

Since everyone else was posting big photos in the thread Im going to do it too. These are the best I have, if I capture any better ones I will post them. Hope you enjoy them.

This first one is the same one I put up in my first post, taken while hiking in the forest. If you look hard you can see two people hiking at the bottom of the ravine. Titled Fall Arrives:
http://adam.inxtec.net/photos/albums/photos1/IMG_1208r.sized.jpg

This sunset photo has caught my eye numerous times. I almost discarded it because there is nothing really striking about it, but thats what I liked the most. Its has more resemblence of an everyday sunset, but not at an everyday location. Hence the symbolism of leaving work behind to go play in the water. Taken at Paw Paw Lake in Michigan. No Title:
http://adam.inxtec.net/photos/albums/photos1/IMG_0863.sized.jpg

Last but not least, one of my favorites. A 6+ Macro of a full bloom rose with bright white foreground. Titled Red Rose:
