i encountered a plethora of weird people today-- some were cool weird...but others were...umm, not
THe cool one-- this guy in my phot class---my teacher tells these lame jokes and this guy always laughs at them and makes these really kooky comments..
the other people-- one was this guy while i was driving home--- i was in the left lane and he was opposite me, driving in the other direction, he pointed to my tire and yelled something-- i thought he said gas---but there was nothing coming out of my car-- and there doesnt/didnt seem to be anything wrong with it...
hmm
and the other-- this guy at the gas stattion approached me...
okay-- so if he approached me for like change for a dollar.. or i dunno.. for another reason, i dont think i would have thought twice, but he came up closer than i would usually stand to a stranger, then he said, "Dont worry, I'm not a bum or a wino or anything.. my girlfriend and i are stranded and we need to get to the city of thousand oaks...."
now, i wasnt going that way... so i told him that.. but if i was-- would i have driven him? of course not.. unfortunately, we do not live in a society where it would be a wise thing to do that...
maybe.. just maybe if he was a woman with a child and i was going their way.. but to let a strange man in your car...
honestly--- its not even a paranoia thing.. its just not safe... and that just struck me as really sad today.. because these people were stranded, and even if i could, i wouldnt help them ,yknow?
