This is the place I will share work stories. heres the latest pain in the butt:

A large amount of SPAM has come all at once, enough to delay everyones e-mail. One guy had to open up some of the filters, because the server was having a hard time processing it all. So, not only are people getting e-mail late, but their getting more spam. And they aren't happy about that.

AHHHH! what a day!
It was almost non-stop busy. I had a few customers, that I had to deal with for a couple hours each.

We switched from one server to another...it didnt affect everyone, but a certain percentage. I think it was those with V92 modems. Anyhow, long day, and my brain is toasted. I bet it will be a busy tomorrow, on my birthday.

The weekend was a little busy.
heres an odd one for ya: A guy calls up using a 486! and hes wondering why his computer freezes up!

I advise him that he may want a newer computer...he says he has one running win2k... but he doesnt use it for the internet. ooooook

So, I have him setup the new one for internet.

Then, I had a freaky one...it may have been a prank, but it could have been for real. Some old hungarian woman was calling from a hotel, and I could understand about half of what she was saying. I think I was able to trace the call...maybe I will find out what the deal is later.

Dammit. Today sucked. There was a change on the servers, and so it was stressful and busy already. Then I was given a pile of work, combined with customer help. And when I was struggling on a call that I had never delt with before, I got bitched at for it. Like I know how to deal with something like that...And I was informed that I have about 2 weeks left, and sink or swim, I get the job or not. great. I have the next two days off to chill out. But Im pissed today.

Old people have too much time to waste.

Last weekend we had a lady that spent all day calling, and even though I told her everything was working, she called microsoft, and formated her hd.

Then today, I had an old guy that wasnt getting his e-mail. Everything looked fine, and 5-6 calls later, I figured out that his auto-send/recieve wasnt working. I had him press the 'get messenges' button...and of course he got his dam e-mail.

Still worknig at this job. 2 years now. And ready to quit... when I get around to it.

Looks like **** is gonna hit the fan tomorrow...
But hopefully the a-hole I work with will get fired. I can only hope. I doubt it. But, I still hope.

Oddly enough, I doubt I will get in any trouble, I have actually been doing my job, unlike the other guys. But if they decide to punish the whole department for whatever reason, I get to deal with the BS too.
