Just a thought here. I think it would really cool if we had a forum devoted to history and only history. Also a martial arts forum would be cool as well.

Criminal, im not sure if we have the readership for a forum devoted soley to martial arts, evenaully yes, but not right now. For now the Lounge or Personal Wellness is the place for martial arts discussions. or the sports forum I suppose.

What is your idea with the history forum? To just discuss history? Or how would it be 'run'.

The History forum would simply be for discussions on that subject. I have seen some interesting discussions on historical topics here. I think it would be cool if we could have them all in one place. Just a thought.

NOt a bad idea...jut bad timing. Again, if/once the site gets bigger it makes sense. (we want to discuss anything!)

As far as the history forum. I will ad something in the enxt day or two, make ya the discssion leader, and elts see where we can go with it.

I wanted to expand further on what I think can be done with a history forum. It would not be a boring repetition of conventional thought on the subject but rather a chance for people to get into real debates. History is a subject that always sparks controversy. It is no secrete that historians always favor the victors in any conflict. What I want to see is challanges to the conventional wisdom on this subject. I want to see points brought up and counter points. I say "LETS GET IT ON!!!!"

You haven't elaborated on why you think would be cool..to discuss what history on this forum..WHAT HISTORY?.. Globally or domestically?..To me History ties in closely with politics and religion..everyone has a subjective opinion..but that's all..Historical propoganda hasn't been very kind to the minorities of this United Snakes of Amerikkka ..narrowing it down to just domestically..this being my subjective opinion..

What is my history????
Well I like anything to do with History. Millitary history. World History. US History, Brittish History, History of the Roman Empire, History of China, Japan, Sweden, Canada...you name it.
What you say about history tieing into religion and politics I would agree very much. That is why such a forum is important. Anyone with an opinion is welcome to post there. As for historical propaganda not being kind ot minorities, I could not agree more. In such a forum as the one I propose, anyone with a complaint about such propaganda can bring it on. I want to see debates raging! Lets take the gloves off and duke it out. That what this will be about! Not to insult or offend the other members of the forum (in case you are reading Manu) but rather to bring forth all kinds of opinions forward. In this forum there would be no right or wrong opinions and all will be treated with due respect. You want to talk about Nat Turner, George Washington, Karl Marx, Adam Smith, Openheimer, Ghandi, Vlasov, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Chang Kai Shek, Vatslav Havel or Bin Laden, this will be the place to go.
