View Full Version : Not really sure where to put this.

Well I made it through all 3 nights of History channel's Hatfields and McCoys. If the wife hadn't insisted on it I wouldn't have. I had hoped that at the end we might have some people of merit actually sit down and discuss the implications of this peculiar tragedy but I guess that's too much to ask as the history channel has become hell bent on doing almost anything other than taking an honest look at history these days.

Only saw part of it, when it ran on PBS; didn't feel inspired to watch the whole series.
The History Channel has sucked for a long time; most of the 'good stuff' gets run on other channels, like the 'Military' channel and others. I dropped the satellite crap a couple of years ago, and since the switch to digital TV and a zillion local channels there is actually more stuff, and with fewer commercials, than sat or cable these days.

I am currently watching the last end of it. I'm not sure what I feel about it except the two factions were one bloodthirsty lot. Both sides nothing but lemmings following their loser leaders in their neverending hatred of each other. What a waste.

Compare it to WWI.
