He's only 36.

He's 24 behind Willie Mays.

It's a matter of time, you A-Rod haters.

I can't wait! :) :) :)

It won't matter as far as his #s.

The Hall of Fame has been very hard on people like "The Big Bird" and others. We may not see hardly anyone named in the (infamous) Mitchell Report inducted into the Hall of Fame. Clemens (named more than anyone else), Bonds, and a slew of others may not make it. He is the best example. Taken from Baseball-Reference.com, and it is accurate (link below, but it is looooooooooong).

The hell of it is Bonds, Clemens, A-Rod and so many others already had the numbers for the Hall of Fame. Barry Bonds was a virtual "given" when he was 35, about the time he added 15 pounds to his chest and arms (good diet habits, I bet). Clemens, same thing. A-Rod, same thing. They did what they did for greed. They could play longer, their stats shot up, and they sure didn't take a pay cut. Clemens salary skyrocketed. Indeed, Clemens is the best example, which is why he is named more than any other in the Mitchell Report.

Stats from 1996 to 2008, from age 33 to age 42:
1996, 33 (his age) BOS, 10 and 13
1997, 34 (his age) TOR AL 21 and 7
1998, 35 (his age) TOR AL 20 and 6
1999, 36 (his age) NYY AL 14 and 10
2000, 37 (his age) NYY AL 13 and 8
2001, 38 (his age) NYY AL 20 and 3
2002, 39 (his age) NYY AL 13 and 6
2003, 40-years old, 17 and 9
2004, 41-years old 18 and 4 with Houston
2005, 42-years old, 13 and 8 with Houston

18 and 4 at age 41?
20 and 3 at age 38?
Drug-free? Really?

AL CY YOUNG Winner in:
1997 AL
1998 AL
2000 AL
2001 AL
2004 NL
2005 NL

How does a fast-ball pitcher get better, win 5 Cy Youngs, as he gets old, strike out more, have a lower ERA?

Clemens is an icon in the Houston area. Still. I hope he never gets in the HOF. I don't think he will given his confrontational personality. Had he said, No comment, my career is over, I can't change the Mitchell Report so it is a non-issue, instead of acting like a Rottweiler in heat on 60 Minutes and going nuts over the Mitchell report, he wouldn't have made an ass of himself. He had retired. He had no reason to act like, well, a man on steroids. Demanding to appear before a stupid congressional committee and then shamefully autographing baseball for mainly the Republicans on the committee (he is a nothing, but more Republicans were on that committee; more than a few Democrats also got an autographed baseball).

Screw him, as far as I am concerned. Obviously, I have a real problem with Clemens. He is 9th on the all-time win list and a lot of those came when he should have long since retired.

If he is not convicted, the racism is alive and well since Bonds was.

A-Rod is past his prime but still a good player. He has more home runs to hit.

Mays did it without the horse-piss
