And have the chutzpah to believe that some asshat 1500 miles away whose never even seen your moccasins let alone taken a step in them, has a better idea of what you should do with your life than you do.

i tend to agree with this. i often have the feeling that all politicians are godless motherfuckers, but that could very well be a hyperbole :)
