They promoted FB as best they could. It flopped.

Did you notice that just about every other stock related to "social networking" dropped through the floor in response to that as well? For example Zynga was bombing so hard that trading was stopped on it twice throughout the day on Friday...

It's probably only not utterly tanking because of underwriter support, which might not last long. When the rubber meets the road, you have to prove to investors you have a profitable business plan - and Zuckerberg can't.
I got caught up in the hype, and I regret it. My broker told me it would go to $300 overnight, and against my better judgment, I believed him.

Cowpunkster, why did you make up the story about getting FACEBOOK stock without Googling to find out the IPO price! :nonono:
You probably still don't know, but it was $38 you retard!

The MSM is insane. Now they say FACEBOOK was "overhyped" last week. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO OVERHYPED FACEBOOK! The propaganda they get away now I think is lawful based on an OBama edict.
FACEBOOK DOWN 12% TO 33 and change.
LOOK OUT BELOW!!! It should be about $8 but who knows. It might hover around quite a bit as the Wall Street manipulators and hedge funds manipulate it until finally settles down much lower.

Apparently brokers will have shares available for individuals to short on Wednesday! So that should accelerate the drop to the 20's of this POS stock.

Optimus, Cowpunk probably thinks he can escape this latest fib of his if he characterizes it as a "hoax" for a little fun or something. But the pattern is clear. Cowpunk is a pathological liar and most likely clinically insane.

Why would anyone buy this IPO stock under no-limit conditions for share price? That is not rational for this type of company. It is barely rational for a company that sells a tangible asset. Take Micros. company for example. All the "shoulda coulda" aside, it would still have made a very nice profit for anyone who waited until it was clear their operating system was going to dominate half or more of the PC market, before jumping in, early 1990's. Better to lose 20-30% of potential profit, for waiting out the IPO and base it on performance longer term, than lose 90% of cash invested because of trying to get in on some hype for an IPO. I even saw finance reporters on the news getting a little too hot for this shit, though. Some modesty is in order for anyone who claims they are immune to hype, but it is a good object lesson on the need to have rules set up before risking things that are more important.

^Retarded retard alert!
Cowpunk, take the time to learn how an IPO works. Unless you are co-owner of a private equity company like Mick Romney's Bain Capital, you got the IPO as a conditional offer like everyone else and then paid $38 when it went public. You are the DUMBASS, you dummy! :nonono:

E*Trade sometimes gets small allocations of IPO stock. I remember back in early 2000 I think, when I had an account with them, I would submit an interest notification of every upcoming IPO since they were all pretty crazy back then. I got lucky and was offered 50 shares of DTEC. Brokerage houses make sure you have enough liquid resources to buy at the final price which sometimes was not determined until just before it opened for trading but usually around $18 or so. They also do not like flipping the stock right away. DTEC went to like $52 or something in a couple hours so I dumped that flucker! :nice: I don't think DTEC exists anymore!

Yeah, and I guess there was a mutual fund that allowed average small investors a chance to buy facebook pre-IPO shares, though that isn't what cowpunk the liar is talking about. The only ones really able to buy any facebook pre-IPO shares where massive investment companies, facebook current and former employees, angel investors, etc. Certainly no cowpunks would be allowed or have a chance.

The FACEBOOK IPO is imploding! Interesting that selective information was shared among select hedge fund scum! I don't think this violates any SEC filing requirement, but clearly it show Wall Street is as unethical as ever. Again, the SEC and other federal agencies should be going after CNN, MSNBC, etc. for hyping this POS stock just before the IPO!

Depends entirely on your pov does it not? Zuckemans is now rich beyond the dreams of avarice as is his partner who renounced his citizenship and moved to Singapore to avoid US taxes. As I've said you can only soak the rich to the extent they are willing to allow it. If you've already sold it for less tha what you bought it you're screwed. Otherwise you sit tight and wait a few years. Unless of course you are firmly convinced that you can't make money selling advertising space. Which by the way has been a profitable venture for longer than I've been alive.
