I hate windows XP. I have a 933 PII with 512mb RAM. It is slow as a snail...so I want to format my HD and install win 2K or 98SE. Only problem is....I dont have either of those versions of windows...and dont know how to go about formatting my HD and installing either of those versions.

Could anyone help me in obtaining a not so legal version of 2K or 98SE?

Might be wise to find someone with aburner near you with the file size of the OS

XP is the fastest danged thing I've ever clocked on the 4 systems I benchmarked:



PII 233, 64 meg

PII 266, 64 meg

Athlon 650, 128 meg

Athlon 1.2GHz, 512 meg.

It is? Gibber. WinXP is a massive resource hog. It should barely run on those 64MB PCs. On my C466, 64MB, it runs very poorly.

WinME has the fastest bootup, but 98SE seems to be the fastest to run on most PCs. O'course, 2k and XP are far more stable.
