Coming back isn't so important that I would compromise my own personal value system. Part of my value system is being honest. And if I apologized it wouldn't be an honest action because I'm not sorry for being a dick to a dick. I respect those who deserve respect and certain individuals don't deserve respect.

They feel that they are superior intellectually, philosophically, and morally. Any idea that counters their own should be suppresses and is automatically hateful and something that should be suppressed. Their beliefs are always enlightened, even when they flat out call for violence. That is something else that goes against my personal value system which is seeped in a libertarian/classical liberal/paleoconservative philosophy. I cannot and will not give one inch to any authoritarian belief system. To do so would be to give up the very basic human right of freedom and liberty.

If the site dies because they want to ban everyone who contrinutes then so be it. It's really no sweat off my back. And to be honest, the site was dying long before I was banned. How many great people left prior to my being banned because of the moderation? Shakes, Brian, and Victory come to mind but there were countless others. I won't even begin to try and name them all. My banning was simply more noticeable because I was more active then the others and had been on the board much longer than them.

I personally suggest that all the persons who signed that humbling list abandon DA for another site. It is obviously dying and you all know it. Why drag it out longer than it needs to be? People leaving one by one only to not be seen again. I'd personally like to keep the group together. Get together and decide a place that everyone will migrate to. Let me know what the consensus is and I will join you there. Perhaps we can get some of the others from DA's past to join up there, too.

tl;dr: I won't apologize for being me. I am what I am, take it or leave it. Let's just post elsewhere.


DT Response #3: You can also tell 86 that I'm facebook friends with Monster and we get along fine and there isn't any need for an olive branch. The blame rests solely with SivVulk. I honestly don't see the point of keeping one mod that is almost universally disliked, abuses their position, and is killing the board. If he had any common decency he'd voluntarily step down. The fact that he hasn't is proof enough that he's everything we say his is.

To set the record clear I didn't ask him to apologize queen, I asked him to negotiate. I also request that the mods negotiate. I never stated that I wanted DT to make nice with sivVulk. When you pass it to him like that no wonder he's reluctant. I wouldn't do that either.

If I can come to terms with Optimus then it isn't a terrible reach to conclude that the mawds and Dick can't come to a similar result.

DT screwed himself that day, whether or not the banning was "petty". :)

Part of the blame (If not all) is on him because if he liked posting here he wouldn't have been a "dick" on that day. But since it's his nature to be like that well it's totally his fault. Plus him wishing for one of the mod's to step down is no different then me wanting me to see DT gone here.
