The open mic had a hip-hop type act which was boring as fluck. One drummer showed up late, so I had to play the drums most of the time. I would even play along with the stupid computer generated hip-hop thing from their Apple laptop they had going. But on the bright side the new envelope filter pedal I got from the UPS guy literally minutes before heading out is awesome! Just what I was after for the auto wah sound.

So about 5 hours ago I stopped by a venue in which an open mic friend's band was playing. They are a trio and cranked out some classics like Hotel California totally kicked up a notch cause the bass player was totally funky. You know how some South American musicians have an above average sense of rhythm? This guy is and projected it tastefully. I brought my acoustic, plugged into the PA and joined them for Dead Flowers and All Along the Watchtower. Fun time.
