I have been trying to create a droplet in photoshop 6 that will resize pictures down to a reasonable size for the web.

After trying the way it explains to do it in the help for more then 2 hours last night, I finally got mad and gave up:(

Any help that anyone has for me would be greatly appreciated:)

Thanks in advance

How small? reduce them via the file resolution (ie 150dpi or 72 dpi) or size wize?

I never export to web format from photoshop. That's what FireWorks is for. Better compression control.

Of course, I haven't got past photoshop 5, so I don't know what 6 is like.

There is actually a way to do it automatically, you create a droplet (basically a batch file) and drag the folder full of the pics you want and it will resize them and save them in the folder of your choice.

There are some very poor directions in the photoshop help (that after trying numerous times with no luck, I just gave up), I am thinking that i am missing some small step that someone that has also done this may know of.

I am trying to find a way to not have to change each file individually, as that will take an awful lot of time that I have not got right now (time that could be spent finishing my car), plus I am very lazy and if there is a way to resize a folder full of pics and save them to my "web Ready" folder then I would be happy.:D

Could make a web gallery out of them.

For individually, I created an "action" for it, select the files and action and let it rip. Sort of like a macro command

I've never used the droplet or action features. Im mostly a PS novice. Sorry!

But Jasc's Paintshop pro compression utility is a DREAM to use...
