MIKE WALLACE: AMERICA'S LEAST TRUSTED NEWSCASTER?
NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Couch potatoes may like watching Mike Wallace on "60 Minutes" but that doesn't mean they'd buy a watch from him.
According to a survey by the Council of Public Relations, less than 5 percent of Americans trust Wallace, compared to 19 percent who trust NBC anchor Tom Brokaw.
The PR flacks didn't ask Americans why they distrust Wallace but did discover some bizarre reasons for trusting Brokaw.
One person claimed Brokaw could be trusted because "he was from North Dakota" -- even though the newsman really hails from South Dakota.
Another person said he trusts Brokaw because all the other news anchors "look nervous."
