True, but we do a lot of our original material at shows, as people request plenty of originals from us, even during many cover gigs. Out of a 10 song set, we have at least 3 originals at any given show, and some shows are 90% original songs. We use cover gigs to promote our own music through playing them in a mix of Rock classics, actually:).

In fact, a good test to know if your song is any good, would to play it in the middle of famous songs during a cover gig, and if the audience continues to dance and have fun during that song, then they probably assume that's another Rock classic that they just don't remember, and therefore, the song is alright:D.

Sigh. If you were actually involved in shows bigger than a neighborhood bar, you would know the answer to this already. I hire crew. I coordinate schedules. I help communication between the venue, promoter, and artist. I take artists to their hotel or airport. I help do budgets. I help coordinate tickets, willcall, guestlists, and VIPs. I make sure catering has the staff and supplies. I coordinate with the venue to make sure they have the elements required by the artist and tour, whether it be their rider, furniture, or random stuff. There are many other things I do.

Some call that being a "flunkie".

I am very much grateful for Arlo, as well as Little Richard, Koko Taylor, Irma Thomas and Goldy McJohn (Steppenwolf) for being some of the first people that I've admired since childhood, to see something in me and inspire me to go further with my music, back when I was still in my late teens/early 20s, I will never forget that:). A honorable mention would go for Bo Diddley, who never heard my music, but did tell me (after finding out I was a musician) that if I came all the way from Israel just to meet him (as I told him that in a semi-joke:D), he felt that I will end up doing alright in the music world based upon my motivation alone and wished me best of luck:).

I do enjoy the bands' dressing rooms at shows, especially when there's a good food/alcohol service, the people working at the venue are nice, and as long as it's "420 friendly";):p. One of my favorite songs that I can really relate to, is Joe Walsh's "Life's Been Good":p.

I'm a musician/singer and that's really all I care about doing or knowing much about...everything else is secondary at best:). I have a great interest in music history (and other subjects) and I read music business books in order to be more succesful at what I do, just like I enjoy co-producing recordings whenever I get hired, but in the end of the day, I'm just a performer and that's why it's pretty much the only job I've ever had:D. I never really worked for a show production (other than playing on stage), and never claimed to...you didn't tell me a whole lot of facts about production that I didn't know already, but nevertheless, my knowledge on this subject is fairly limited indeed.
