View Full Version : Anybody see "Enterprise" yet?
Shadowhawk 09-27-2001, 12:05 AM The new Star Trek series "Enterprise" premiered tonight on UPN out here in Atlanta. While not a die-hard trekkie myself, I've gotta say, the series looks pretty good so far http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif I wasn't sure Scott Bacula would be able to shed his image as Sam from "Quantum Leap", but he did a good job. I don't want to say TOO much else and ruin it for those of you who MAY have it showing later this week in your area.

Rayney 09-27-2001, 12:44 AM Hmmm while we dont have it here yet I dont think I could watch Scott Baccula with out wondering when "Al" was going to pop up and tell him what his mission is.....I loved Quantum Leap.

ChaoticThoughts 09-27-2001, 01:21 AM I caught the last 5 minutes. Im not a huge fan of the quantum leap guy. I think I will watch the show from time to time. I would like to see the borg in the past, but thats about it.
Shadowhawk 09-27-2001, 01:54 AM Well Rayne, I felt the same way re Scatt Bacula, but he really did do a good job. His character of Captain Archer has a take charge, direct personality that let's you know he's not Sam the Leaper http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif
The Borg in the past? That would be cool, and possible since the bad guys are getting help from an unknown ally in the future. If the "E" is barely a match for the Borg though, I'd Hate to see how short the Prototype would last - LOL!

Dest98 09-27-2001, 11:18 PM I'm a fan of Star Trek and I have always liked Scott Bakula. I taped the premiere and haven't watched it yet, I'm really looking forward to it. The chick playing the Vulcan is in this month's Maxim. Va-va-voom.

SCOTT BACKULA is the man!...i love that he has a pet...named porthos...
the borg wouldn't be around, it was Q, who introduced them to the alpha quadrant during the next generation era.
i am pleased with everything..but prob the opening theme...that was kinda lame..but tolerable.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

12 replies before mine and 5 (!!) alternative spellings of the poor guys name.....
For the record, his name is Scott Bakula.
The series is not gonna show over here for a while, but I'm getting em off the internet, and i have to admit that I'm real happy with it so far. I like how it's more realistic than the goody2shoes of the other recent series. They even said sonuvabitch in this one http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif
Scott 10-18-2001, 02:25 AM Eh...tonights episode was pretty good..
i'd give it a 6 out of 10.
possible comedic line, that might not have been comedic: when the klingon was in the holodeck in the alien ship, and was watching his homeworld apear in front of his eyes- "I can see my house from here!"
haha

ChaoticThoughts 10-19-2001, 02:03 PM Well, I have not had a chance to watch it yet. Night classes on wendsday, but next week they will end, so I will take a look in a while.

what do I type here?
Scott 10-25-2001, 07:39 PM This weeks episode was sweet..
I am convinced that they did a focus group with some fans of the previous series, and asked them "what do you like the most about any given star trek episode?" and they all replied:
THE PHASER BATTLES.
has anyone noticed how many fire fights there has been!?...it's SWEET!!! http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif
