ok, i got all the computers to access the internet, so i know that all the settings are right, but when i try to connect the computers to share documents.. i get nothing.. i already added them all to one workgroup and still nothing.. i think it has something to do with some of the machines being 2000 pro and some being xp

anyone know any pointers or such with this?

i need to know asap

Do they not even see one another? Were they able to see eachother in a wired network environment?

Can you ping the other machines?

the computers were never wired network.. hmm.. haven't try pinging.. good idea.. i am still working on it :)

someone told me that you can't network an xp machine with a 2000pro.. i think that sounds a little fishy

Yes, you CAN of course network an XP machine with 2000, they are essentially the same operating system, just minor differences.

As Manu said, make sure you can ping one another. Make sure you have what you want shared, shared with the proper permissions.
