I have always been a Marilyn Monroe fan. Not only of her but of the photographers that shot her pictures. I was inspired the other day to do alittle research on her and the person who discovered her and captured this work of art.
Norma Jeane was discovered by photographer David Conover, Sr. To read more about this click on the link below.

I am wondering if anyone else shares my interest in Monroe and her life. If not, feel free to post your comments, etc.
I have decided that when I get my studio, set up someday. I would like to decorate it in Monroe photographs. I envy her photographic abilities. I think she would have lite up any room in which she entered. I have started a collection of her photographs, thanks to a good friend of mine who shipped me a few all the way from Tucson.

I am a huge fan of her! A few months ago they had original pictures of her online for sale at ebay but they were going for thousands and i couldnt see myself spending that much money for them hehe. But I actually plan on doing some sort of movie star room in the future. I was going to do it in my new bathroom here but since I am moving I am going to save the idea. but basically it would include Black and white pictures of the old stars like Marilyn, James Dean, Kerri(sp) Grant, and more. I love old movies!

Ya, she is still the fantasy woman for most men. Other than that, I think most "big fans" are women and gay men.

Waiting for Aph's comments on how people can't like Monroe because she was a sex icon...

Yes, In fact Monroe was a sex idol. She possesed an attraction that many men admired. Hell, as a woman I admire it. I mean if I had her beauty and so forth, I would be one happy woman.. Anyway, Reading about Monroe you realize her life is not by far what people would want you to believe. She was not just a sex symbol that perhaps had her variety of men, she was a talented actress and woman. Its a shame that when Monroe is mentioned, Sex is attached.

?
Good looks and sex are always attached.
Thats the mens sexual process- find girls with good looks- then sex.
Women may view good looks as power and popularity, but not guys.

the reason sex is always attached with her is cause well she used that a lot in her life to get places...dont get me wrong she was talented but she always had this void she needed to fill and she tried to fill it with men and well it never worked. not to mention her sex appeal is what sold her....take britney spears for instance..she has no singing/song writing abilities what so ever...stick her in a turtle neck some goucho pants and have er square dance and see how her popularity will hold up in this sex crazed culture!
