Just tried it out for the first time today, (after cleaning out my HDD and some other maintenance). The only real difference I've seen in it so far is that there's a seperate tab on "Internet Options" in the control panel for "Privacy"

All this really does is fine tune what level of cookies you're willing to accept ahead of time though. From there our friends at MS decide based on the privacy policy of the sites you're visiting rather or not you need any of their cookies.

I kinda liked the earlier option of prompting better. It was a hassle at times, but at least I didn't have to depend on MS to do my thinking for me...

Oh yeah, it also gives you a little "report" when it rejects cookies for you, kinda like a firewall alert. There's also a "media" search button to look for music and such on the web, but I haven't tried it out yet.

Well, that's my report. If anybody else has heard of any security bugs or anything with it, i'm sure the rest of us would be interested http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif

I just upgraded to it at work. I thought there was going to be more change, thought it would be more 'revolutionary.' I guess not.

Outlook Express 6 is much nicer, for those of you that use it. Looks a bit cleaner and has some nice options.

I'm using 6.0.2600.0000 and I have no complaints.

I ALWAYS seem to have the PC that's gonna show bugs in any new software I install! I've been having no end of slow downs and near freezes (among a few other minor bugs), the last day or so... Kinda like Manu was describing in his wierd win2k prob thread, only worse.

Guess what? I uninstall Explorer 6.0 and the blasted machine hums along like the jet fighter I built it to be http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif Anyway, I'm going to wait until 6.1 or whatever the first major upgrade is before I Re-install the thing. If your PC is as picky as mine can be, I'd advise the same for you.

The only real difference I noticed was IE 6 takes longer to load.

IE6 crashes every 20 minutes or so for me, but I like the extra security options in the privacy tab, otherwise, nothing new....
