Ok, im going to be 21 pretty soon. http://discussanything.com/Ubb/smile.gif
I was thinking of getting something @ krex.com, one site I fully endorse, its the best place to get computer parts, @ good prices.

Anyhow, Im planning on getting a cd burner, an mp3/cd portable player, and a stack of cd-r cds.

I think I will have a nice setup, I can download mp3s, and put them straight onto a cd. Or I can convert them, to play on a normal cd player.

I have not had a cd burner before, so I had a basic question. I will take advantage of a fast school connection, and download a pile of mp3s. Then once in a while, I will plug in my cd burner, and put them on a cd.

From what I understand, I can put about 170 songs on a cd. Is it easy to put 20-30 songs on, then come back later and burn some more on?

here are the things im getting:
(top one) (http://www.krex.com/ProductsPrincipal.asp?sg=1&gr=1&it=8&si=4)
mp3 player (http://www.krex.com/ProductsPrincipal.asp?sg=1&gr=1&it=16&si=2)

CT-

Yeah, that is easy...

But I would imagine when ya have only 20-30 on the MP3 player won't be able to read that CD.

The way it works, it leaves the session 'open' and makes it unreadable in MOST devices that read CDs other than a CDR.

Im not sure though, the mp3/cd player is not something I have experience with. Maybe it wont have a problem with them. I sure hope not.

When a cd is done, does it leave a marker, showing the end of the cd?

Sorta.

If it doesn't have the "marker" then the cd can have more stuff added to it. Downside is that most cdroms and players won't read the disc, so when you shut the cd, you can't add anymore (unless its a cd-rw disc) but it can be read.
