So, my big Buick (79 Park Ave. ... 300+k miles) has been sitting in storage for over a year (with a full tank of untreated gas).... I picked it up Saturday to get it emissions inspected (after 2gts of trans fluid I was able to get it to move, and drove straight to the inspection place).... it failed, it was 100+ degrees out. Needed below 400 on one thing and it got a 413 and needed less then 4.00% on one thing and it got a 4.25%. ..... So I cleaned the Carb, changed the oil/filter, checked and gapped the plugs (replaced one plug that had oil on it ... I think it's probably valve stem seal(s)) ... and drove it to work Monday and Tuesday (work is 30+ miles each way).... this morning I added some slick 50 fuel system cleaner, tanked it up with Amoco 93 (I ALWAYS put Amoco 93 in her) and she passed with a large margin for error (temp outside was about 60 degrees). HURAY!!!!!! I’m real happy. :)

after this, I put it back in storage .... it was the last time she ran ... until today. ... in storage a fuel line dry rotted ... I needed to drop the tank to fix it ... anyways ... I towed it to my house last summer .... it sat .... today I dropped the tank replaced the hoses, drained all the fuel ... added 5Gal of fresh new fuel (amoco 93) and started her up .... took a while ... and she is ideling real low (but on her own!) ... I'm so ****ing happy. I love this car. (no more emission tests for her either .... I've got historic tags on her) :nice:
