So, I'm stuck using my bro's computer while in the Bay Area for my vacation. I get sick of hearing the processor run all the time when there's no programs supposed to be running, so I finally install Adaware on it for him. I deleted 98 files.

Brilliant digital had a HEAP of files on there.

I don't know who the bastards are, but at least they seemed to go quietly unlike the Gator spyware *******s.

I recommend adaware to anyone out there who prefers their privacy in this internet world we live in.

So what do they do? Do they track what sites you go to and that sort of crap?

Bill-

They usually track what sites you go to, or what you're downloading, or something less intrusive (in a way) as popping up pop up ads...

Well I didn't find the dummy dll file that kazaa lite (what I've got him using) has, and I ran it afterwards with no problem. The Brilliant stuff may have been in one of the KMD install files that he's downloaded but not installed yet. Either way, as long as Kazaa Lite continues to work he's cool.
