or something like that. :)

Love black and white photography. I plan to eventually have my own darkroom. :D I would love to see what I could come up with in colour but as I am partially colour blind I fear that most people would think my prints were a bit odd. :p

I have found a new love in taking objects in existence and creating a separate function for them. Not really found art or any such thing...well...maybe not sure. :)

Awesome, seeker.

There are other true shutterbugs on this site, myself included. B&W has always been fun, but I'm trying to develop my skills on color modification on a regular 35mm. Digital has also been a medium I've enjoyed manipulating.

I'd love to see some of your work.

I have very little experience with developing and printing color myself, but I had a friend in college who did tons and tons of color, part of what made some of her work cool was she didn't adhere to "realistic" colors. So maybe your partial color blindness could work in your advantage.

*edit* Hmm, I was going to point you to my own b&w stuff I've put in here, but they're not working. I'll have to fix them and get back to you....

I am a photographer. I specialize in B/W children portraits. I am taking a dark room class this semester. I am totally excited about it.

We should all compare pics :)

Redfield and I critique each others work. Its fun!

Didn't know there were so many kindred (sp?) spirits in here...

I was never a big film photograhper, guess its just part of being in this generation.

My primary cameras are digital and I have film standbys... often I meet others who have it vice-versa

I prefer a manual 35 mm camera myself. I always felt as though I was cheating when using a digital camera. :) But thats just me, maybe Im just old. :o :p

I love photography too. I'm not a still photographer, (i'm a film student) but I think I have a good eye for things like that...

We should have a thread where people post their work -- I'd love to see it! :)

That is an excellent idea. I say we allow one week from today to gather our work, host it, and post the links/imgs in a separate thread.

What say ye, all my kindred shutterbugs?

Here is some of the photography I've been working on with my digital . I just starting taking photographs this summer, so these are my first. Plus I would really like to get more advance and move on to a 35MM.

Then if I do get better at this, hopefully to have a dark room of my own would be very exciting.!Way into the future though... for I have know idea about printing.

I'm a little nervous about anyone looking at these, but I figure who better to critique them, than people who don't know me very well.

I truly enjoyed both Redfield and Heather’s work. Love looking at art, just love it!
Ok here goes nothing..

Katalina-

You do very impressive work. You have the 'eye' for the art.

The ones of the boys are very unique. Keep up the Good Work!

Thanks Heather! I really appreciate your impute. The pictures of the boys are my favorite thing to work on. The first one is of Riley our youngest, we call that look a *classic!*
When I took that picture he was kind of upset with me. He said; for heavens sakes mama!!
Oh it was one of those moments:)

Did you see the bees in some of the flower pictures? I believe they are in 2 of them? These bees were so tiny! I've never seen them that small.

Thanks for taking the time to look at them!!

Adam that car is really sweet, but do you have any pictures of mustangs:p

Very cool. I was thinking about trying to catch pictures of just insects in general, but I scared of bugs.

Godd way maybe to get over my phobia :D

Katalina,

If you want to shot insect pics, consider purchasing a Macro lens, this allows you to focus in on the insect more, and get a bigger, more detailed picture.

she's gotta get an slr before she can do macro though. I don't know much about digital cameras, but it seems to me they'd do macro pretty well and that's what she's using I think....

I am still mourning my stolen professional 28-80mm macro lens. :(

AH true, I forgot she was using a digital. I havent converted, I love my 35 mm, and I am just starting to use medium format and wide angle, DIGITAL will be next, I am already saving for one.

LOL!

I'm going to be purchasing a new 35mm for Christmas, hopefully.
I currently use a Chinnon 35mm (No macro lens) and a Sony Cybershot for anything digital.
