Can't find my abridged copy of Decline of the West (http://www.duke.edu/~aparks/Spengler.html). And I want to read it. Yes, there are on-line abridgements, but I can't take reading more than ten or so pages on-line. More than that, and I need a book.
Kind of funny how all of them seem to be hosted on neo-nutzi websites, when Spengler spent the last three or four years of his life under house arrest by the nazis these people so fetishize. And at least one contemporary of Spengler claimed Spengler was about to come out in opposition to the regime at the time of his death, though of that I'm skeptical. viz, Diary of a Man in Despair: A Masterpiece about the Comprehension of Evil (http://www.amazon.com/Diary-Man-Despair-Masterpiece-Comprehension/dp/0715630008), by Friedrich Reck-Malleczewen. A worthwhile read in its own right.
And that one I've read. Not so Spengler's burblings. I think this will be the fourth time I'll give Decline a shot. If whoever stole it returns it.
Spengler would've dug Accept, I think...

....well, maybe not.
