I told you so.
Snouter 07-09-2008, 07:27 PM Wow! You really are a truth teller about something after all! :jes:
ThePrankMonkey 07-10-2008, 03:11 AM its mean to say but she's better off dead. after finding out all the shit these little girls go through in these pageants and just how psycho some of their moms can be, she'd be all ****ed up from this shit by now anyway.
reminds me of the way some fathers push their sons into playing sports, its more about living through their child than it is about the child.
parents can be so abusive in ways that are not the traditional forms of abuse and its overlooked i'd say 99% of the time.
BadNews88 07-10-2008, 01:54 PM And although the parents are exonerated.....a killer still somewhere proudly and freely walks the streets....:hmm:
The Retired Badge # 88 has SPOKEN!!

I think they are still keeping an eye on that one pervert that went to Thailand or whatever and then got sent back to the US because of the ramsey investigation.
Truth Teller 07-10-2008, 07:25 PM its mean to say but she's better off dead.
It indeed is mean to say that.
It's also false.
And although the parents are exonerated.....a killer still somewhere proudly and freely walks the streets....:hmm:
Maybe not.
I 've heard the guy who played Santa Claus at the party the Ramesys were at is now the top suspect and he's dead.
They are probably going to dig up his body for DNA.
I agree [and always have]with what the private eye who was a cop [and a very good cop] said: That if anybody who lived in the house had done it the evidence would have been more consistant and easier to uncover.
He thinks the house was broken into by someone with pedophilic intent and it was very likely the first time he tried to do something like this ,that would explain why his DNA isn't in the system and his being a novice would also explain why the evidence does not fit any real pattern.
Truth Teller 07-10-2008, 07:30 PM The fact is the Ramseys were innocent, yet they were treated like criminals by the press, talk radio[this case alone is a good agrument for the Fairness Doctrine],some of the police , and by some of the general public, including some holier than thou people here at DA.
The Ramseys are owed a big apology and more.
well, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about them
Que sera, sera 07-10-2008, 11:45 PM I always thought that Patsy had huge personal self-esteem issues to pimp her daughter out for these pageants the way she did. I considered that the father may have recognized and realized this, and was somehow trying to protect her in his own way. I never thought he was guilty at all.
A young girl participating in events like this is a very real target for all the perverts out there. These pageants serve no real purpose and ought to be outlawed.
Encourage people to raise and show dogs instead. Then no innocent child will get hurt as perverse collateral damage.

You are being a hypocrite again by flinging baseless accusations like a spaz. Either present some support for this slander or shut the fluck up and eat that ridiculous, censorship supporting "fairness doctrine."
Also, maybe the DNA was tainted like with Mr. OJ Simpson.
Truth Teller 07-11-2008, 04:51 PM well, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about them
And I give you credit for honesty.

I pretty much agree with you about the pagents, but the fact remains the Ramseys were innocent of any criminal wrongdoing ,yet the press and public put these people [who have already suffered too much]through living hell for a decade and a half.
Java_man 07-12-2008, 12:52 AM What the hell took them so long ? .. Its not like DNA tests were invented yesterday
Personally, I find the whole kiddy pageant thing rather creepy, I think most people feel the same and that contributed the the cloud of suspicion over the parents

You're right.
I wish John would successfully sue all of those idiotic “We Know They Are Guilty” organizations/talk show hosts, etc. Geraldo Rivera's “mock trial” (guilty!!) was disgraceful, and he isn’t alone in his guilty because I know position.
I believe Chris Matthews, on Hardball, even got in on the act. If I have time I'll find if I am right or wrong about Matthews.
KillZone 07-12-2008, 06:43 AM Lou Smit recently (2007?) claimed that the DA would destroy the evidence he had collected if he had obeyed Hunter, and I believed him. He seemed to have integrity, which seemed to be lacking in many of the others.
Well, every thing I saw in that program seems to be accurate: (link at bottom must be scrolled down, etc.)
Hunter and Smit Clash:
In February 1999, District Attorney Alex Hunter demanded that detective Lou Smit return evidence that he collected while he worked on the case, including crime scene photographs. Smit refuses "even if I have to go to jail" because he believed the evidence would be destroyed if returned, because it supported the intruder theory. Hunter filed a restraining order and got a court injunction demanding the evidence. Hunter also refused to allow Smit to testify before the grand jury.
Smit Seeks Court Order:
Detective Lou Smit filed a motion asking Judge Roxanne Bailin to allow him to address the grand jury. It is not clear if Judge Bailin granted his motion, but on March 11, 1999, Smit testified before the jury. Later that same month, district attorney Alex Hunter signed an agreement allowing Smit to keep the evidence he had collected in the case, but prohibited Smit from "relaying prior conversations" with Ramsey prosecutors and not interfere with the on-going investigation.

Destroying evidence? Trying to stop Smit from testifying before the grand jury?
Who should be in jail.

This type of ultra sensitive DNA test is new.
Personally, I find the whole kiddy pageant thing rather creepy, I think most people feel the same and that contributed the the cloud of suspicion over the parents
No argument, but the problem is the media circus that followed.

I agree 100%.
I hear John Ramsey is dating Natlie Halloway's mother,I say God bless both of them because they really do understand what each other has been throuugh.

Lou Smit is the cop turned dectective I was refering to [thanks for reminding me what his name is],I beg people to read every bit of his testimony, this man really knows what he's talking about.

Uh, Jon-Mark Karr *should* serve time....but *not* in the pokey...and *not* for *anything* to do with the Ramsays.....
But, in a rubber room....pumped full of thorazine/melerrill....and strapped to a freakin' bed...
For *obvious* reasons.... :hmm:
All in favour...say "aye"..
The Retired Badge # 88 has SPOKEN!!
Truth Teller 07-14-2008, 06:34 PM Aye.
Cyclone Ranger 07-18-2008, 02:20 PM well, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about them
Now if only the guys from South Park can be man enough to do the same. :nice:
9ball8 07-18-2008, 02:37 PM Now if only the guys from South Park can be man enough to do the same. :nice:
-Keep in mind, however: the comedians, pundits, armchair detectives and media whores who were dead certain of the parents' guilt have great big hearts. So big, they have already forgiven themselves and moved on to the next scandal.
I don't expect miracles, but if the DA's career (and a couple of high profile news media stars) went down in flames over their incompetence, it might bring decent closure to the case.
Cyclone Ranger 07-18-2008, 02:43 PM To be charitable, they probably weren't wrong about O.J.
Evil Elmo 07-18-2008, 03:24 PM Now if only the guys from South Park can be man enough to do the same. :nice:

Sounds like some Christians in Texas we heard about until it was confirmed there was no evidence of wrongdoing. And the media just kind of pretended it never happened, as did you as I recall.

I think theat they were innocent too. Problem is that the actual killer is still on the loose.

Naah...
I think child beauty pagents are in poor taste. But parents who push their kids are not necessarily cruel.
Incidently, did anyone here see Little Miss Sunshine? That movie was a total riot!

I hope it turns out to be that person or someone is found to be the killer.
If it is than its too bad nature took its course before he could be brought to justice.

What took you so long?
I was wondering why you hadn't made that same banal argument earlier.
The two cases are not the same.
By the way,The Ramseys are real Christians[unlike your buddy Warren Jeffs],religion has nothing to do with either case.
jeez it took long enought.
It sure did,and Mrs. Ramsey had to die before vindication.:(
I think theat they were innocent too.
Read Lou Smit, the evidence never added up in the Ramsey case, whereas it does add up with that pedophilic cult in Texas that grimrebuke loves.
Problem is that the actual killer is still on the loose.
He might be dead.

There are already people that have a new theory: The DA is tricking John by "clearing" him and his family. Or, John's wealth bought out the new DA. Or, etc.
Of course, John is guilty because John is guilty and we all know that so skip the trial and lock him up. Chunk the key. Head onward to solve the next case.
